Enjoy the cool mountain air, the spectacular views, and the fun and challenging golf that Fallen Timber Golf Lodge has to offer! Set in a remote region of the Rocky Mountains, this golf resort allows you to get away from it all and enjoy golf with a breathtaking backdrop.
Fallen Timber Golf Lodge provides plenty of off-course excitement as well! With fishing, hunting, mountain climbing, and hiking excursions available, the Lodge is the perfect place to reconnect with nature and recharge your batteries!
And if outdoor adventures aren't your thing, relax in the rustic, yet modern guest rooms and cabins, get a massage at the spa, or enjoy fine dining and drinks at The Ascent, the lodge's on-site restaurant and lounge.
As for the golf, the course is a par-71 layout that winds its way through towering pine and spruce trees, along clear mountain lakes, and near a charming waterfall. There are plenty of elevation changes, as one might expect, and the elevation combined with wind gusts can dictate how you traverse the course. The biggest challenges you'll face are in the form of multiple water hazards, the large bunkers, and the thick rough. Keeping the ball in play and on the fairway will go a long way to shooting a low score.

Some Course Highlights:
Hole 1, a stunning par-4 opener that forces you to be accurate on your tee shot, and then requires an uphill approach to a green perched over a stream.
Hole 4 is a reachable par-4 in favorable conditions. The narrow fairway, rocky waste area, and multiple bunkers might give you pause at going for the green, however.
Holes 8 and 9, one of the most picturesque sections of the course. Hole 8 is an uphill par-4 with a green guarded by a large bunker. Watch out for pins placed in the back right corner. Hole 9 is a par-3, and has a green with a hump in the center front. This hump will guide tee balls to the left and right of the center of the putting surface, so take note of the pin location when aiming.
Hole 13 is another stunning hole, and one that requires another approach over a body of water. This area of the course is a popular destination for geese, ducks, eagles, and other birds.
Hole 18 is a demanding and intimidating par-3 finisher. Playing downhill and measuring in at about 225 yards from the back tees, you'll need to take a deep breath before hitting your tee shot here. With water front, right and back of the green, sand all around, and the guests in the clubhouse lounge watching in the distance, the closing hole at Fallen Timber is a stout test of nerves.
After the round, head to your guest room to kick back and unwind, make a reservation at the restaurant, check out the services offered at the spa, or just enjoy the views from the benches around the property. And be sure to take advantage of the two putting and chipping greens that will help fine tune your short game!
Enjoy your round at the Lodge, and be sure to leave any feedback here for the greens committee!
