Hi All Just wondering what is this relationship between 52m (170 ft) and green speed - fast (7.9) in the x2 screen shots below? Thanks!

I think this is what you are looking for. Sorry, I'm in one of three countries using the imperial system, so only have feet. There can be subtle variations, but I believe those are the typical numbers.
Very Slow 101 Slow 119 Medium 144 Fast 163 Very Fast 187

What does the 7.9 mean in brackets next to the word fast?

That is the specific 'speed' set by the designer, which may fall in-between the 'selectable' speeds you have when setting conditions for a match. The scale is not 0-10, however we can choose by decimal points, only 5 of which match one of the five selectable speeds.
If that makes sense.
52m is what in feet ? About 171, so it falls between fast & very fast. That means 'default' is actually a sixth selectable speed.

I was doing a bit of googling but couldn't find any reference at all. Is this what is in the designer tool?

I was looking for this information yesterday and it doesn't seem to be easy to find. You just have to keep changing the Green speed in Course Settings and play testing to see what bracket you would fall into. I did figure out yesterday in the designer if you put the Green speed at 7.6 then dial it back one tick to 7.5 it sets the Greens to 164 ft which is Fast.

I was doing a bit of googling but couldn't find any reference at all. Is this what is in the designer tool? Yes, the designer sets the default green speed, with a scale of 4.5 to 8.5 (do not ask me why they chose those numbers ) as well as the Green firmness with a scale of 0 to 1. The speeds in feet posted by Blade correspond to: Scale = Name = Speed in Feet4.5 = Very Slow = 101 5.5 = Slow = 119 6.5 = Medium = 144 7.5 = Fast = 163 8.5 = Very Fast = 187 You will never see 101 in a TGCTour, I don't even think a 119; an occasional 144, but mostly between 150 and 187. When the designer sets a default speed that is different than one of those in the table shown, the game will assign a name (Fast, Moderately Fast, etc) that is approximate and that is why sometimes when you see a designation of Fast it won't be 163 but something else that is the default. I hope that this is not clear as mud .

Hint (from a scheduler) - keep your default speed BETWEEN the default speeds - that way it is easier for us to vary the speeds slightly during tour events, rather than just having to use the big default jumps between speeds.....
So 154ish and 170-178 are good speeds to try for......
Always nice too if the default speed just higher than your course's speed is playable (legal pins)
