Unplayable due to stutter / lag, this has been for the last week or so, no problem on other societies or solo play.

Not sure if you are on console or pc or what. But I'm on PC with an aging system 4790k and gtx 980. Some courses with excess planting, causes me to experience lag and stuttering.
I find I have to adjust my graphic options according to the course. I tend to run with no AA as I don't care for the blurred look, but hate the green grid lines without it when AA is off. So I will sometimes run SMAA low.
On stuttery courses I will make sure the AA is off and set the resolution scale to 100%. And turn down object detail. I find I can smooth it out a lot by lowering the object detail on its own. On a course where these problems aren't an issue I usually run scaling at around 140 and object detail around 50. To be honest I can't tell the difference with object detail at 30 vs 60. And I've sat there for over an hour changing it and playing different parts of a course.
So try lowering object detail 1'st then turn off AA if you don't mind the look.
Also if on pc you may want to play with the graphic card settings. I've been spending a lot of time recently fiddling with these trying to eek out that extra little bit out of this system until I buy a new computer in springish..or whenever the 3080 cards get in stock.

I’m also struggling with stuttering recently, these last two weeks have been a nightmare. It’s been fine for me since launch but these last two weeks I can’t get anywhere near a perfect it’s either very fast or very slow nothing in between. I’m on PS5 and changed all the graphics settings but still having stuttering when swinging. Anyone else out there struggling with this??? |

I was noticing on Stadia more lagging lately. I didn't know if it was my internet or Stadia. Guess it's maybe a patch in the game not working properly? Almost cost me a win in my character's PGA tour
