Chateau Perza
Situated in the far west suburbs of Chicago, where the pancake-flat grid-lock of the city starts to give way to some of Illinois' most scenic landscapes, Chateau Perza is a lush and impeccably groomed golf and country club that offers the finest amenities for the most discerning clients. The 7,275 yard, par 72 course presents a relaxing but no-nonsense game of golf that subtly test the player's basic skills without over-influencing scores or drawing undue attention to itself. Tight fairways lead to fast and firm greens with just enough slope to keep the putting game interesting. Designed with the posh Chateau as it's centerpiece, the holes weave around a multitude of lakes and streams that offer an added level of natural defenses to the course's strategically placed bunkers. The upscale suburbs and rolling farmlands that abutt the property provide an eye-catching backdrop that compliment and complete this first-class golfing experience.
Another tricky tee shot challenges you to land it between two bunkers or risk having to deal with the elm tree to the right on your next shot.
The name's a hold-over from before renovations that lessened the slope on the left of the fairway.
You'll have to fly like Jordan if you want to make it over the bank of trees and cut the corner of this dog-right.
You'll need to be a prolific power-hitter to reach this green in two.
Do all the little things on this straight forward hole and you'll be just fine.
Like Lincoln, you'll have to be a straight shooter to set up a shot at birdie.
Careful club selection is required here to keep from getting wet.
The first par 3 of the back serves up a plateaued green.
Bust a move to lasso this beast around the horn and you should be able to set up for three.
This par 5 may be a bit short but it's got some stout defense that'll make you pay if you're too aggressive.
Like its namesake, this par 3 is looong and will require some skill to stick the green
In the city, it's an elevated train. Here it's an almost 90 degree dog-left.
