Holy crap boys....regular season is over and what a great season it was. So many exceptional games, quality of play seemed really good and just felt good to have some normalcy amidst an irregular time in society. I will be honest, six months ago I thought NFL would have to be cut short after about week 5, so it was wonderful to see it finish an entire duration.
I am also happy that two of my three favorite teams have qualified; Browns and Steelers. If Kyler hadn't gotten hurt on Sunday, I'd most likely have all three in, but this point is obviously moot.
Here are my playoff predictions:
Round 1:
Buffalo 38 Colts 24- Josh Allen is absolutely en fuego, and Rivers will commit two costly turnovers.
Seahawks 31 Rams 13- Even if Goff plays, he won't be 100% and the Seattle defense is much improved the past six weeks
Bucs 28 Washington 17- Despite the injury to Mike Evans, Brady still has ample weapons, and the Bucs stout pass rush will be too much for Smitty to handle.
Ravens 34 Titans 31 OT- This game is going to be a doozy. So evenly matched, but Lamar Jackson has been sneaky good the past month.
New Orleans 28 Chicago 21- I don't think this is going to be as much of a blow out as people think. Brees has been a bit shaky since coming back but the Saints caught a huge break having Kamara be eligible for this game.
Pittsburgh 21 Cleveland 17- I think Pittsburgh finds it footing here and plays a game similar to how they played that masterful second half against the Colts, plus Stepfanski not being able to coach the game could be a hindrance to the success of the game. I mean seriously, can the Browns ever catch a break?
Round 2:
Buffalo 35 Pittsburgh 21- Josh Allen will pick apart that depleted Pittsburgh defense.
Chiefs 28 Ravens 17- On the strength of 4 TD's Mahomes leads them to an easy W
Green Bay 31 Tampa Bay 13- Cold snowy Green Bay will be too much for the Bradinatior. X factor in GB is Aaron Jones who is a gifted RB.
Seahawks 21 New Orleans 17- Wilson makes a clutch play late to grind out the W
Round 3:
Buffalo 37 KC 31- Shootout throughout, but Buffalo is on a mission this year and makes the SB. Chiefs will have a letdown being the defending champs, so damn hard to repeat.
Green Bay 34 Seattle 21- The baaaaad man up there who name rhymes with Taron Podgers puts up a legendary playoff performance.
SB 55
GB 28 Buffalo 21- Close throughout but in a tied 21-21 game Rodgers leads a masterful 85 yard drive with 3 minutes left to earn his second ring.
lets see everyone's picks.
