TGC Gpolf Tools 0.3.5 locks up

I am having an issue when importing terrain and features.  Using the old tools, it processes everything.  Now in the new one, I clicked on the following course options.  Add background terrain..., and add trees from lidar.  This is what I get.

And it just sits at this position.  Also, under the tree settings, I have no options like I have seen in the introduction of the new tools.

When using this version I highly recommend that you have already used 0.3.2 to produce a course file with your OSM 100% complete. After you have done this, use 0.3.5 and select the working course folder AND even though it may state that the course is loaded, manually RESELECT the course file. Now you can go to the trees tab and select tree allocation. This version chokes on OSM queries half the time, so uncheck the OSM import option and build your course. Rinse and repeat the tree allocation and build part until you are satisfied. Hope this helps.
