I’m pretty sure Wolf Point is Mike Nuzzo’s only completed course. His website has listed as projects as currently in planning but no other completed courses.

I would like to submit several hundred crappy munis across the country that clearly were not designed by golf course architects True, but the OP specifically asked about 'significant' ones .... 😁. Side we're here, though .... The architect at my local public (not really a muni) was a Jack Miller, who only did 3 courses, all in Central TX. Crystal Falls in Leander is fun, but unfriendly in spots. Even a spot on RCR would be unfair for tourney play. That said, I love it, lost balls & all. Some really good greens and zero bunkers. 2 par 3's with 60 ft drops. It was a better round back in the 90s, before the neighborhood finally encircled it. There was literally one house you could see from the course back then, now I'm not sure any hole CAN'T see some houses. I played the Pine Valley lidar this morning before work, and it must seem more special in person. Was still fun, and I used the Golf Club Atlas hole-by-hole as a guidebook while I played. I preferred Oakmont in-game, for sure. I need to find maybe Merion or Baltusrol versions soon. More importantly, how you make looking down a gun barrel feel all warm & fuzzy, I don't know, but it's among my favorite forum avatars, sir.

The Pine Valley lidar is a travesty. Put no stock in it.

The Pine Valley lidar is a travesty. Put no stock in it. It had most of it reasonably accurate to the hole descriptions, or so it seemed as I read along. Hmmm.

The elevations and surfaces are correct, but that's about it. Planting is nondescript and generally it lacks a lot of care. Compare the rendition to the Cypress Point or Friar's Head lidars and the difference is night and day.

Okay, that seems fair. Is it's routing accurate, compass-wise ? I was wondering if it played 'reasonably right' more than the look.
Seems in this version, Hells Half-Acre didn't factor at all.
I don't imagine a course's memory holds enough plant variety to do New Jersey justice, so I'll cut some slack there.

I think it's accurate in that sense.
Play Friar's Head - you can definitely do that area justice. Designer just wanted to pump out as many lidars as possible in a short space of time and didn't care about the quality.

b101 - It would have to be near impossible to get a good rendition of Pine Valley because of the massive size of the property and just how much acreage each hole takes up, no? I feel like you would need double the object meter, but I'm still a rookie at this stuff so I'm not really sure. Super cool you attended the Crump Cup grovey31. Great pictures, I have some pictures myself from our tour there. I have to make it there for the Crump Cup at some point in time in my life. It is such a special place and that is the most realistic opportunity to see that course in person.

Pine Valley’s property dimensions can fit in game as long as you exclude the short course. You may have to use a lot of autogen trees in between holes while planting the visible perimeter of the hole manually e/ accurate trees.

Ben, Friar's Head definitely came across better, but I'm still not sure it has the variety of vegetation that Pine Valley does.
Geographically, they may seem close, but they are in very different environments. North shore of Long Island is not suburban Philadelphia flora-wise, either. They both have a lot of sand, granted.
It was a nice round, but one of those where I need to turn a fan on to simulate wind in my face to get the real experience.
In real life, I'd struggle mightily and enjoy it WAAAY more than my score or lost ball costs should dictate !
In-game it was 'very good' but doubt I'd replay it often, as dunes aren't my favorite environs.

Yeah, you’ve missed the point. The point is to show the difference in care and attention that was put into recreating the two courses, not which is better.

By "came across better,", that's EXACTLY what I meant.
Your points are rarely hard to get, unlike (apparently) my responses.
