I am at 495 on points in the beer league and miss cuts often. When I swing I pull the stick back and let it go flying forward. This resulted in a perfect swing in the last game. Almost all of my swings are fast now. Almost all approach shots are now on the back fringe of the green. I have no idea how to take an accurate full swing keeping in contact with the stick the entire time.

I'm honestly glad to see that this technique doesn't work with the new game. I suggest learning to swing the correct way, especially since you are playing TCGT as that swing style can get flagged.

Actually I now make sure my stick hits the other side of the controller when I swing, and I still get random wild swings. I don't know how to stop my swing, I always hit over 100 percent unless the shot is under that.

I don't know how to stop my swing, I always hit over 100 percent unless the shot is under that. I am experimenting with some timing techniques on the 100% issue. I have decided to not red fast all my swings (I tried it for a while - it works but just doesn't feel right) and the white wedge really shrinks when you swing at 101%. I have found turning off the feedback vibration helps quite a bit on tempo (I occasionally turn it on for a long putt or the very rare partial shot). I also say to myself "One and" with my down swing starting at the end of the "and". I still hit 101 a fair amount, but get a lot of 98-100 shots. That timing may not work for you, but the technique might. Scott

I don't know how to stop my swing, I always hit over 100 percent unless the shot is under that. It doesn't matter how fast or slow you move the stick - hitting over 100% means you're starting your downswing too late. IF this is your main issue, I'd suggest setting up your bag with swing timing as the priority. If you're stuck hitting red fasts all the time, I'd say either re-calibrate or try focusing on a more 'smooth' swing and not jamming the stick forward so hard. Keep in mind that the club selection AND % of the (desired) shot have an impact on how fast or slow this motion should be. It's not the same for every single club.

You are going to get less forgiveness and distance control if you use clubs with more swing plane though. Its a matter of computer delay also. For tee offs, my swing is often finished before the golfer begins his swing on the screen.

It does not matter what club I use because I dont stop my backswing. I always swing for maximum on my backswing.
