Knob's Creek is my entry for Team Petty in the 2020 Dream Team Design Competition. The course: The course was inspired by Augusta National. My take is more of a "what would it feel like on day one?". A few hole designs and green sites may be recognizable. There's some other nods to Augusta sprinkled throughout as well as a few Mackenzie-esque decisions I made. My main goal was to use width and angles to bring as many different options into play as I could. The Team: This course was truly a team effort. From the first pick all the way through the last (Ben) everyone was a participant and willing to give input they felt could help. Thanks guys!!! The Look: Hate to get all artsy but... eff it. Tried to create a feel. I may have played God with all these options we get to make video game golf courses. Lighting, colors, textures were chosen to make it seem like you are playing in an old picture. Like you're surrounded by the ghosts of golfing past. Default conditions are as bright as you're going to get. Don't @ me. Credit: VctryLnSprts for the logo. The Conditions: Please play red tees. Any wind direction will do. I find a medium wind adds enough teeth for any skillset. If you're sadistic you can max it out and play in a North wind. And because quoting architects with a dramatic image earns you credibility:

Best course name yet Oh and Alister, tacos are never a bad choice. Congrats on getting this one out just under the wire Justin. This thing is like augusta before it got over guarded and mickey mouse in spots. Love it.

Had a lot of fun playing this one. As a fan of moody lighting, this is perfect for this golf course

The coolest thing about DT has been seeing all of these unique environments people have come up with that we haven't seen before, and I feel like this environment and course design is right up there in terms of being new and interesting. The openness was great, since angles felt like they really mattered because of the green slopes, and the bunkering looked amazing. Loved the open, fall, northern US parkland vibe you made here. Hell of a job with this one!

Awesome course, Kenyon. You did such a good job with the muted fall colors, course gives you a real vibe. And it's so well thought out and designed. Oodles of width, but only a few places that you really wanna be off the tee. Looking forward to pairing up with ya on day 2.

*bump*
Sorry - didn't post in this thread. I've played the course twice now and I really love the "day one" feel. Really like the width, the dark autumn colours, the bunker shapes and the green-sites (187 speeds a touch harsh, perhaps, but they weren't overly tough). Definitely a must play, you did a really good job buddy!

Not my best course ever but my first to 10k plays and we all know that's the best way to tell how good a course is. Thanks everyone that enjoyed it.
