I can’t imagine, but don’t blame you for sitting it out.
Looking forward to seeing you on the boards next week Rob.

Welcome to Elite to all the newcomers! Came in on a good week, this course was pretty tough(at least for me). -9 at the cut seems like it should make it. Shot a -7 r3 and thought if i could play well in the final round, I'd have a shot at my third and final greenie!
Alas, instead I shot a very disappointing -2 to finish -18. Looks like at least one more week at elite, although I'm starting to get comfy here at least. 9 straight made cuts, and only 2 greenies to show for it. Trying to figure out what I need to do to take the next step in my pro career, or if I'm capped at spectacularly above average.

Rollercoaster 2nd round. Holed out from the front bunker for eagle on 3. Made the turn in 30. Back nine scorecard has all kind of shapes on it. On the par 5 that has the creek running through the middle, I somehow managed to get a 3-wood to within 9 feet, and then missed the putt because I my thumb literally spasmed on the follow though, sending my putting plane about 35 degrees to the left. Kind of like what I used to do when I played golf competitively in real life.
Somehow ended up shooting 65 to finish the first 36 at -7. No idea if that's good enough to play the weekend, but what a battle! I'm enjoying the nosebleed of being in Elite something fierce.

I think if you get over the 65 cut over 200 potential players in 5 weeks will descend about 100 players. I think the cuts are not well dimensioned to the current number of players. You can not add demotion marks 90 players for each event. It’s only my opinion, you could think about this with actual dimension of player for each tour at least in pro tours. I think people should be motivated to play the event, not the other way around.

That is a lot and can quickly break down the rest of the divisions. Maybe it would be more operational to set 60% of players by cutting this volume of players

In our current event, we had 131 players complete 2 rounds. Cut is top 65 and ties, which is almost exactly half. One demotion mark to bottom 15%, which would be the bottom 19 or 20 finishers and 2 demotions marks to bottom 7.5% which would be bottom 10 or so? if 200 people had played, then the bottom 30 players would get a demotion mark and bottom 15 would get 2. Not sure where you're getting 90 from. This is a pro tour and the cut is consistent with how a real life pro tour operates. Real life tours usually have a cut somewhere between top 60 and ties, and top 70 and ties.

It's important to understand the promotion/demotion system- it's very well thought and statistically correct. Demotion- Generally 130-150 play on any given week- the bottom 10 or so will get 2 demotion marks, and +/- 15 above that will get one demotion mark. Your demotion marks clear if you make a cut. Promotion- Top 10 get 2 promotion marks- 11-20 get one promotion mark. You lose a promotion mark if you miss a cut. It's actually easier to get promoted (3 greenies) than demoted. (5 red thingies).

Congrats to Regis Fretto (shortcut70 on ps4) for what appears to be a runaway win this week on a tough course. There are still a few who have only put in two rounds and have a chance to catch him but it would take a monumental effort it seems to pass his -39, 6 strokes clear of 2nd place and 16 strokes clear of 10th. Definitely a cut above this week.
Looking back at the stats and it seems like this was the toughest scoring course of the season outside of Avery Fields way back in Week 3. So good on everyone who grinded through it.

My mistake then.
