I'm currently working on a lidar course in WI, but I have the lidar data for Alotian.  In the spreadsheet it said "needs to be claimed" so I claimed it.  If anyone knows someone working on it, or already did it, please let me know.  I should get to working on it by Jan 1.

Chuck, I originally claimed and investigated Alotian after Doyley thought about doing it and then got too busy. It is a nice track for sure, but after making a .course file in TGC2019 the large amount of elevation changes and the vast number of trees really ate up the meter, even with quite severe masking. It might be better in 2K21, so I think you ought to give it a try, I just did not feel like fighting the meter while trying to do the course justice.

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up! When I look at it eventually, I'll keep that in mind for sure.

Hey Violinguy69 just happened to come across this thread and think it’s great you’re interested in taking Alotian on. Were you ever able to take a look at it and see if it’s a feasible build for 2K21?

Hey Violinguy69 just happened to come across this thread and think it’s great you’re interested in taking Alotian on. Were you ever able to take a look at it and see if it’s a feasible build for 2K21?

Not yet.  I'm just finishing up my contest course now.  I've got a few fictional designs floating in my head, but this one and The Bog in WI are on my list.

First off, I want to sincerely apologize to Violinguy69 for not thinking to look for the course in the LiDAR claimer list with the "THE" in front of the course name. I didn't see Alotian Club listed in the As and did it and I'm truly sorry. 

It’s still in WIP status with the water and buildings done with just a little planting on the 9th green and clubhouse and a few green/sand traps adjustments left to do and as you can see the meters are in great shape. LOTS of work re-doing the OSM tracings because when you zoomed out things would line up but zoom in and they would move 3 meters to the right on the background images that re available to use and that movement transferred to 2019 ... Trust me, it took MANY hours to get it to work and thus the bunker/green work left to do. Here's a few WIP shots.
