Korri Cliffs has been released! Here is a write up for each hole and a flyover video I created. Thanks for the idea Crazycanuck1985 !
Welcome to Korri Cliffs! The majority of the golf course is up on a ridge, which creates a circle and is surrounded by ocean. On the south side of the island, you'll find a small fishing village of around 100 Greenlandic natives. The village can be seen from multiple holes on the course. The last 4 holes on the course take you back down to the bottom of the canyon and wrap around the edges of Lake Korri. The property includes a special and semi-private resort which overlooks the canyon and final holes. The views are absolutely breathtaking from every room. In order to help you navigate the property and have the most enjoyable round, we have provided you some information about every hole on the golf course.
Hole #1 is a 317-yard Par 4. The hole gives you two options, lay up with a long iron and play or go for it in two. Be careful though because to reach the green you have hit a blind shot for trees nestled in unplayable territory. Come up short and you may end up OB. A good drive puts you in a scoring position.
Hole #2 brings you your first Par 3. This 177-yard uphill blind tee shot will challenge your sense of direction. Look for the "stick on the rock" to guide you. Don't go right! You have plenty of room to miss to the left. OB is an option on this hole.
Hole #3 is a 427-Yard Par 4 and provides a breath-taking view of the small fishing village just below the cliffs. Your tee shot will require accuracy. Miss long or to the left and you could go OB while going too far to the right can put you in a position where you must take an unplayable lie.
Hole #4, a 393-yayrd Par 4 presents trouble left and right off the tee. If you can keep it in the middle, you'll have a straightforward approach shot. You might want to club up as it's a bit uphill.
Hole #5 is a medium length Par 4 coming in at 488-yards. This downhill tee shot presents a challenge for the longer hitters as the landing zone shrinks and the OB stakes start calling for your ball. If its windy out, you might want to club down.
Hole #6 comes back the direction you just came. At 553-yards the first Par 5 of the day is reachable, especially if the wind is favorable. Be mindful of your right. It's cliffside all the way to the hole. Your ball won't live to play another day if you miss anything to the right on this hole. With a spectacular view.
Hole #7 is the second par 3 and only 151-yards from the back tees. Don't lose focus because the green is small and putting will require everything you have "upstairs".
Hole #8 is a 449-yard par 4. It's slightly downhill on the tee shot, and a bit up hill on the approach. having a bad drive here can cost you a couple strokes easily. The green is surround by OB for about 75% of it. If you are going to have a mishit, miss it to the left here. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Hole #9 is the shortest Par 5 on the course at only 509-yards form the back tees. Don't be fooled by her innocent looks. She intends to hurt the brave souls that dare attempt to go for her in two. My advice is using the left fairway on your second shot and play it safe. Besides, the view on the approach from there is the best on the course!
Take a break, grab a beer...or three! There's a little snack shop on the way to #10.
Hole #10 is 190-yard Par 3. It provides a great view of the bridge that crosses over the #11 fairway. The green slopes back to front and is slightly downhill so you may need o club down depending on the wind. A couple pesky bunkers can give you trouble if you miss hit it.
Hole #11 is a long par 4 at 508-yards. You will have a fairly narrow tee shot with a landing zone surrounded by canyon wall. Don't worry, you won't hit the bridge...or will you? The approach is uphill and requires more club. You will have a great view of the ocean to calm your nerves if you need it.
The tee shot of Hole #12 takes you over a small canyon and onto a fairway that is perpendicular to you from the tee. You'll need to decide with your tee shot if you plan on going for the green in two. Take the risk off the tee and you might just get there. You will need a bit of luck and help from the wind, however because this is the longest hole on the course at a daunting 667-yards! Don't worry, it's a little downhill.
#13 takes us back toward the hotel and clubhouse. It's a long Par 4 at 495-yards and severely doglegs right, almost 90-degrees. The longest of hitters will attempt to cut the corner, but don't go too much to the right or you'll find trouble for certain. The approach shot is into a small green surrounded by drop-offs hidden by trees. Don't get cute. Play a safe shot to the middle of the green. You'll thank me later!
Hole #14 has one of the narrower landing areas of all the holes, but it's very short at only 374-yards. A big tailwind can get the long hitters close but there is no driving this one. A very short wedge in though should mean an easy birdie...right?
The finishing holes! Is it beer-thirty yet?
Hole #15 takes you down off the high ridge and into the canyon. The tee shot is over lake water and gives options depending on your length and the wind. Taking it left of the left bunker will cut a good chuck of yardage of the approach shot, which ideal as this hole is the longest par 4's on the course at 525 Yards.
After crossing the long bridge over Lake Korri, you come to hole #16. This 491-yard par 4 has water surrounding your landing zone on just about all sides off the tee. If you manage to not go in the water, your approach shot is not any easier. A small green on a small semi-island will test your long iron or metal wood play.
Home #17 is the last of the Par 3's and it's the longest at 207-yards. It also has the largest elevation drop of any hole at 116 feet. Whaaaat!? I will give you a small bit of help. Whatever club you have in your hand, subtract 4 from it. Good luck!
The finisher! Hole #18 is the last of the Par 5's and a mere 640-Yards. It has canyon wall to the right and water to the left. If the wind is in your favor you just might be able to reach the middle fairway giving you the only chance to reach this green in two, most hitters will have a tight landing area off the tee and certainly a third shot coming into the green.
This concludes the course and hole descriptions. We here at Korri Cliffs hope you have enjoyed your stay and your golf round. We look forward to serving you in the future.
