I love this game but it totally frustrates me. I previously posted about my problems with trying to hit on a straight line, and trying to keep the tempo right, now I'm gonna rant about the yardages that show for each club. They bare no resemblance to what actually happens, particularly when pitching. I know the wind and rough will have a great effect but even from the fairway in still conditions my shots most often come up a lot shorter than what is shown before hitting even on full power.
Just wondered if anyone else shares my views. I'm getting older now but still play actual golf and have to say its not as difficult out on the course as this game. Still love it but dont think I'm ever gonna improve at it.
Thanks for listening.

Ken Kenny I am afraid that if you want to know the actual distances each club is going to go you are going to have to do it yourself. The numbers the game puts up are kind of general, not really specific to a particular club, and there are a lot of various club choices. I made charts (I know, most of the folks here pooh-pooh the idea of charting) by using the designer to make a flat course with a hole, green, fairway and tee, and using the pro-Am or beginners difficulty (which supposedly has no effect on distance) with tempo turned off and no wind I hit each club, including left and right stick up and down, and charted the carry and roll-out. This is tedious and takes a lot of patience but it does give accurate numbers. Just sayin' sayin'

Just sayin' sayin' I was looking at getting some more accurate distances for my clubs and this seems like a great way of doing it thank you sandsaver. In my eyes you need to know what distances your actual clubs go as you would do in a real life game

If that isn't what you are interested in, then ignore this post. A quick way to get carry distances for different lofts is to turn the Pro Vision on and then go to the driving range. You will see the carry distance change as you change up the amount of loft.

I'm assuming that this carry distance is for 100% power which I rarely hit but I'll give it a go. Also assuming it works on any course and not just the driving range.
