Hi all I've just published my entry, Dunstan Head. More details on this post for those interested. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/26166/dunstan-head-rookie-design-contestErixonStoneI'm not sure of the status of the display bug on the default conditions for highlands, but the course is meant to be played with firm/very firm fairways which may mean the published default needs overriding if it does default to soft. Hope that's ok... Good luck to those still working on their courses. Can't wait to see what everyone else releases and giving them a play.

Congrats on the publish! Will give it a go tonight. Can I ask what video editing app you use, I watched the fly throughs, it looks good!

So, I am not a fan of links style courses generally, but I really enjoyed this one. A good mix of shots and with the wind the hazards were something to keep in mind. I was still able to recover for par from a fairway bunker, so not overly penal. Good luck! Lots of great competition in this... If you are interested in checking it out my Rookie course is Wailele Island GC. It is tropical, so a vastly different feel from yours.

I used Premier Rush which I have through my photoshop subscription. Never used it before or pulled any sort of video together but it was pretty straightforward to be honest.

You’re absolutely right though, links style isn’t for everyone, which is completely cool. I’m pretty sure I’ve already played Wailele but I’ll check it out again in case I missed it!

Really well done rendition of links style course.
Some people don't like links courses, as they don't "pop" like other themes, but I really like well done ones. You had the bunkering an grassy elements and the course played tough, but fair.
Really fantastic job on the aesthetics, including the town, pub and lighthouse areas.
Great rookie design and congrats on all your efforts. Will definitely replay again and again!

The village took an age to do so I’m glad it stood out to you. Oddly I probably had more fun doing the external elements than I did the course itself. Maybe I need to fire up an old copy of sim city sometime!
