If you're interested to see how the game runs on PS5. Faster loading in between holes and feels smother overall. Not playing connected via usb, seems to be fine as opposed to playing on a PS4. The controller feels a lot bigger, better built and as a smoother joystick action. On the other hand it seems more sensitive, harder to hit perfect. I really feel it on putts, very easy to under/over hit them. Anyways here it is and please don't mind the soso playing. I'm still trying to get used to it and just concentrating on hitting "perfect" as much as possible.

Not a PS guy, but I'd be interested to see how the PS5 handles 'The Sand Pit' course (this week's CC course) - the XBSX has some awful swing/putting glitches that make the course pretty much unplayable on the new system. Wondering if there is any such issue with the new PS..

No video but I experienced zero issues playing The Sand Pit this week on my PS5 (apart from my own horrible play in Round 4).

I believe I'd be able to play better on a PS5, with the longer handles they now have on the controller. I could move my left hand down the handle further and set up a less severe angle between my long thumb and the stick, giving me a better chance at staying on the swing path. Can you imagine how much smoother it would play on the PS5 if they'd get rid of the 30 FPS lock that's on it? I'm hoping they're going to eventually provide an option in an update to either disable the vsync, or at least set it to 60 Hz. I know the people with variable refresh rate displays would rather just be able to disable it though... man that would be suh-wheat!

Ya, I had to stop at hole 3 and finished up on my OG XB One - but the damage was already done - the course was unplayable on the Series X because of all the glitches in swing - especially on the putting.. At least the PS5 seems to be ok - but the PS is pretty much always ok with this game. It's the XB users that typically suffer..

Never had any issues on my PS5 including this weeks CC course. I've been hitting the ball much more consistently than I ever did on PS4. Usually fast but that's an easy compensation if I know I'm going to get it on 90%+ of my shots.

After playing the last two weeks on ps5. Its definitely alot easier on ps4 to score well. Dont get me wrong ps5 feels great. The controller is awesome but its not alot bigger. The sicks and the triggers are identucally place to the ds4 but what i have noticed is the arms of the controller are at a different angle making it feel more comfrortable to hold and when playing for hours on high intensity games the rsi in my hands doesnt give me half as much jip as it used to. It is alot more sensitive than the ds4 but because of this hitting a perfect is alot more challenging than the ds4 i find i miss it alot but its alot closer to the white on my full shots. On chip shots because of this i seem to get better tempo and nowhere near as many red slow chips which hampered me on ds4. Putting is the killer for me at the moment. Im reading them as i always have but for some reason i keep leaving white putts short all the time its crazy. On slower greens it kills me. I putt a good stroke on it and it shows white percentage but it is always short of pace and either stops short or just babies off the face and misses low. I do prefer how the game plays on ps5 for feel but ps4 definitely has advantage on the scoring side. You seem to get away with alot more. Especially putting. Because of the frame rate if i go for a percentage putt i get it 9/10 on ps4. On ps5 its that sensitive it can vary 5% short to long and as we all know drive for show putt for doh!!!!! Swing also seems to poll alot more places. Meaning it has alot more variation in ball flight. Ive found a slight red fast varies alot more than ps4. Ps4 there is 8 boxes from a slight red fast to a massive red fast whereas ps5 there seems to be more variation. The main thing ive found is that i get less random red slows but the fast is definitely more in play on a ps5 on full swings. I really need to spend an hour messing about with it to go into alot more detail but i do find it more fun playing as its alot more challenging than the ps4. Roll on pga2k22 when its actually been made for next gen. Thats when we should see the game spread its wings and hopefully all my friends will actually want to play it then instead of hating it like they do with this version!

You probably already know this, but in case not... you can use a DS4 when playing PS4 games on your PS5.

That's what I'm finding out too. It's harder to hit perfect consistantly on the PS5 as the controller feels quite a bit more sensitive. Really shows on putting, very easy to miss the sweet spot! But, I guess that I'll adapt and show be ok in a week on two!

Its alot more gratifying tho rob. Ive played more rounds today than i have in the last 3 weeks and actually really enjoyed them. Putting is harder thats for sure. If you take it back quick and bash it thru your shanking it thats for sure. You've really gotta feel them in and adjust more than i did on ps4. Im getting it down tho. Definitely a different beast to the ps4. So much more enjoyable cos you get a much better feel off the pad i find. Ps4 u could put a half decent tempo on it and get a dirty red slow whereas if you hit a red slow with the dual sense it feels like a shank and its your bad!

The game runs faster and smoother. The controller is definitely better, I really feel when I hit it either fast/slow. Still getting working at getting use to it, full shots are ok as I get my fair share of perfect, but putting is still a work in progress. So easy to miss the perfect weight, it really shows on 187 greens! Controller sensitivity, Xbox territory maybe? To me master difficulty feels close Legend on the PS5. But I'm very happy with it, haven't fired up the PS4 Pro since I got that new beast! Oh, did you feel any difference between playing wireless or via USB? I didn't so I playing wireless. Before you ask, I did switch to USB in the settings when I tested it.
