I just picked up a copy of “Classic Golf Hole Design, by Robert Muir Graves for cheap through Abebooks.
What are your “go to” books or favorites that you have?
Also, how about we create a thread of inspirational websites here too.

I've been collecting for a number of years now and have managed to pick up several excellent titles. To be honest, there isn't one seminal title that ticks all boxes, rather you get nuggets of info from all of them. There are more that offer very little than just being a half decent coffee table title. I've recently bought Doak's 'Getting to 18' which covers in excellent detail his philosophy behind routing etc. it's not one you can easily pick up and read on the hoof due to its size!! I would suggest you look into some of the ODG's books - these use the written word far better than more recent publications that rely on fancy photos.
