Indian Tree Golf Course plays at a par of 70 and covers 6890 yards at its longest tees. This course opened in 1970 and the Richard Phelps design takes advantage of the hilly terrain causing challenging uneven lies, and water hazards come into play on at least seven holes. The golf course's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, and at 220 yards it requires a difficult approach shot over water to an elevated green. Indian Tree has some tricky elements that are aimed at advanced or low handicap golfers, but offers everyone a fair and picturesque track in the suburbs just west of Denver. This course occupies a special spot for me since it was the very first course that I ever played, and many years ago it used to be my daily sunrise round after a night of working the graveyard shift. Over the years it has been in good, poor, average, sad, etc. condition and depending on time of day and whether or not a marshal is roaming the course, you may experience anything from a great to a miserable round. I have modeled the in game course without the busy street (too bad we can't have car honks during your back swing in the game) and I replaced the various big box stores and strip malls on the northern perimeter with some more fall foliage. Hope you enjoy a round or two, and here are some photos.
