Week #9 report is finally here! 9 down, 2 to go and it's now pretty much official that no teams will win a tee outside the Top 3 for last 2 weeks. Team 💩 regained the lead with 84.5 pts, followed by Team 🍆 at 83 pts and Swingers are in 3rd place with 82.5 pts. Next team in standing is the Bombers at 76.5 pts. Bombers (and maybe Skuds just behind at 74 pts) can still hope that one of the top 3 team have a miserable week somewhere in the last 2 combined with exceptional weeks on their side to sneak into the Top 3. Past results in HTF tend to show it won't happen though. Poor team Big Putts took another big loss of 13.5 to 2.5 last week. They conceded "only" 20 shots to Team 💩, wich is in the gap of creating a big result and of course, it had to. Little motivational speech for Big Putts; I looked at the archive. In season 1, there was team called "Only here for the buffet". We still have one player from this team in the league, hello corey ! No win, 4 loss and 2 ties, for a total of 4.9 pts/week. You guys are at 5.5 pts/week, so hang in there for 2 more weeks and let the other team with an epic name at the bottom of the history of the league! 😉 Here's the 3-Stars of Week #9. At this point, I'm looking for points, especially in teams at the top of the standing. I salute those at -69, but they both lose their match. 🥉 InsanericK -52, 3-pts. My first star! 😅 🥈@skylinetime -48, 4-pts. Total is not quite there for Pool #2 player, but at this stage of the season, the 4-pts matters more than anything else. Big 4th round of -17 and that's the reason his team is in first place. 🥇 karacakes -63, 4-pts. Just like the good old days being here every weeks! 😁 Solid round 4 of -19 On to Week #10, the featured match is obviously between #1 Team 💩 and #3 Swingners. #2 Team 🍆 is betting on a tie here. Bombers and Skuds should hope that too! Course of Week #10 will be Malvern Hills. Not much to say about it. Played it 9 times lately and can't remember much about it, that says it all! 🤷♂️ Next week will be better for the final week! 😉 Have fun and good luck!

Here's your Week #10 report! Well, the featured match between Swingers and Team 💩 ended so much in the way of the Deuces that Bombers and Skuds are now invited to compete for the 3rd place and a bronze tee. Swigners are at 85 pts, Bombers 84 pts and Skuds 82 pts. Some teams at 78 pts are still alive by mathematic only, but they have about the same chance finishing 3rd than the probability of hitting 3 aces in a single round. That leave us with 2 teams competing for the championship gold tee: 💩 vs 🍆 Team 💩 have a 1.5 pts lead and will face Shall We? for their last match of the season. Team 🍆 might trail on points, but they do have the advantage in case of a tie. Their final opponents are the Dartists. It would be the first time in the history of the league that the winner is declare on the tiebraker, that is the total shots of the season. Here's your 3-stars of Week #10. Easy choice this week! 🥉 up mup kupen nup -55 4-pts. The effect of the new monitor is still alive! 😃 🥈@eh_stoned_canadian420 -62, 4-pts. Couldn't pass on that even if his team is not on the mix for championship. Simply one of the best 3rd pool performance of the season. 🥇 nameerik -64, 4-pts. He was the leader for his team, paving the way for huge victory of 13 pts Featured match is obviously the 2 contests involving team 💩 and 🍆 Our final playground of the season is Iracampo. A course that might look easier than it is in reality. Small details must be taken in account to have success. Front 9 is friendly, but I can't say the same for Back 9. No time to waste on landscape here, it's ugly from the first tee to the shack. Have fun and good luck!

Happy Tee Friends, I hope you all enjoyed the close matches in the seventh season of the HTF. It is now time to free yourselves from the shackles of your teams and show us what you are truly made of. No more losing points because your teammates played poorly in rounds 2 and 4 -- for the next two weeks, it is all you and only you. The Seventh Secretariat of the Secretariat Cup is here. You are cordially invited to participate in this optional two-week long individual competition. Week 1 is qualifying, and will determine the 16 people that will go on to compete against each other in matchplay during Week 2 for a shiny new tee. You definitely do not want to miss out on this one. Participation is simple -- report your weekly CC rounds for Week 1 as you already do to register for qualification. In Week 2, you must turn in your full scorecard for each round, either via screenshot or text; I must be able to see the strokes taken for every hole to do the matchplay scoring. Note that ANYONE is free to participate, including new and future HTF participants who are currently waitlisted and are not taking part in the current season of HTF. If you report scores for Week 1, you will automatically be registered for the Cup. All reporting must be done here in the forum thread or on Discord, as per usual. Unlike last season, there are going to be deadlines for each round's score submissions in Week 2, so plan accordingly. In Week 2, scorecards for Round 1 must be submitted by Tuesday 11.59 PM GMT, Round 2 by Thursday 11.59 PM GMT, Round 3 by Friday 11.59 PM GMT, and Round 4 by Saturday 11.59 PM GMT. Failure to turn in scores by these deadlines will result in withdrawal from that round. In the spirit of the Happy Tee Friends, scoring will be done via a Fully Automated Spreadsheet, which can be found here: SOTS Cup 7 Spreadsheet. Cheers and good luck, Arav

Dear Happy Tee Friends,
I would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for this very smooth season! Despite yet another expansion from 40 to 48 players, my Saturdays were quite calm most of the time. Thank you!
Apart from that, I think 11 weeks is the maximum length for an HTF season. I had to send more Happy Reminders towards the end of the season, which is usually a sign of wear and tear. Still, I was happy to see that the races for both the Golden and Bronze Tees were not decided until after the final week.
Moreover, having only a 12.5 point difference between 3rd place and 11th place makes me believe that my new method for setting up the turn order of captains for the draft was a good idea. Heck, this season is even the first where the Skyblue Tee isn't awarded to a player of the winning team!
With 8 participants leaving and 8 new players making their debut, we'll stay at 48 players for Season 8. I think the next sweet spot is 60 for 10 teams of 6, but for this we would have needed fewer departures.
Considering the results from the vote over at the suggestion-box in Discord as well as the fact that I probably won't be able to do the spreadsheet work needed for six player teams in the next two weeks, we'll stick to the current configuration with 12 teams.
Looking forward to having my two weeks off from scorekeeping!
Cheers,
The Happy Secretariat
