First off - props to Doyley and co for including this tribute to Tim into the schedule.
Secondly - broadband issues = total tempo roulette for me = terrible tournament.
Cannot see -12 making the cut, then got even worse in R3, before the TGC gods threw me a bone in R4, with a nice ace at the 5th, and then hitting the flag (ending 3 inches away) for another one - at the driveable par 4 10th.
-21 total for the Cow
Thought I played fairly decently to get to -12 (-6/-6) after two and had my hopes up that would make the cut, but you've tempered my expectations now.
Like the last time we had this conversation Bob, I hope you are right and I'm wrong And the current scores from R1 suggest you may well be........provided all the 'fast' players take the week off due to all the water on the right they have to aim at

Didn't feel like I played very well but sitting on top of the leaderboard on PS4 currently with some decent names in. Maybe I'll grab a top 10 after the first MC for me last week. As I said, it seems I'm somewhere close to -34 every week regardless of course, so the tougher the course, the better I end up. Pretty fun track that kept me engaged which is the goal.

Nice course this week. Enjoyed the challenge. Game is all over the place at the minute. Playing it on the ps5 and still trying to fathom it out. It plays completely different than the ps4. random Red slows are now a thing of distant memory but the slightest variation in tempo and it registers so i go thru patches of hitting good tempo and you have to be on it all the time which is laborious but more rewarding than the ps4 i find. Ps4 you can calibrate in a certain way and know youve got a bit of leeway one way or the other the ps5 registers everything. On ps4 i struggled to hit a 94% shot but it is achievable on ps5. Not easy but it can be done. Putting is also trickier as on ps4 you can hit the spot easier. Say 34% a few practice strokes and its there. Ps5 you might get 32% white lip low or a 36% lip high. Ive also noticed same old problem with playing with the pad wired and wireless. There is a difference in the 2. Wireless is still erratic on masters swing. Wired is more controllable but still hard work! On the rounds. Rd1 putting was poor kept underhitting everything. Hit it well off tee. But had some funky tempos. Rd 2 tin cup round. I had a 9 on 9 i think it was i was. Long par 4 over water with approach. 192 to pin 199 in hand with wind into face 101 perfect pitched fringe back into the water. I proceeded to hit it in water 3 times from same spot. Then it gave me a drop at 174 and i nearly holed it for an 8 đ. Back 9 was better. Had an albatross on back 9 and more birdies and a couple of stupid bogies. Not gonna challenge but the course was cool and challenging if your hitting it all over. Good tempo and the course is gettable but i just havent got it atm. Good luck all left to play and well done tyler the course is cool mate!

Tough course, required a lot of safe play. Only made it to -27. Two VFs off the tee on 17 and 18 in R4, and two bogeys from bad short putts on 9 and 18 for a very frustrating final round.

First time all season (I think) that the driving distance stat is showing in the expanded stats. 80th out of 81 with a super impressive 271.3 yard driving average so far for the week.

Good evening, that's been a lovely course indeed. It's just plain deadly if, like me, you throw in slows and fasts (well, here it's mostly the slows that are expensive) every now and then. This makes it mentally very challenging, as one constantly has to weigh between playing safe and going for the birdie. And again, this is not good for those, like me, used to playing all 4 rounds in one session. I'm with hammo24983 on that one: the course almost forces you to take a break after each round or at least after two rounds. And so I fell into pieces in the middle of round four with a nice suite of +5 in three holes. There goes my Bronze Cow. Maybe, my halftime score is good enough for the cut, though. Cheers and good luck!

I know people have moaned about slower green speeds in previous versions of this game, for whatever reason, but I always thought they were fine - predictable, but in a different way than faster speeds. In this game...I'm just @!$#ing lost. It flat out makes no sense to me how slower greens seem to feel like they require more break than at faster speeds. It's like ball roll has been split into 2 dimensions, without a dynamic variable accounting for linear and side-to-side friction for a "natural" roll...hard to explain the "feel" but I'm seriously at a loss as to why the slower the greens get, the harder they are for me to putt.
sh%$ is frustrating.

Iâm officially nominating my front nine in round 3 for âworst nine holes played on Platinum this seasonâ.
Speed golf after that with a tin-cup quadruple bogey on 10 in round 4 as the highlight.
For those that use ghosts; I strongly advise against using mine in rounds 3 and 4 because youâll be shouting at your screen âstop that, you idiot!â đđđ
-5, -6, +1, -1 for -11
Best wishes Frans

Just participating this week. No time to maintain my touch.
Probably shouldâve left the greens default. Some of the pins you canât lag to the tier if you arenât on it.
Wish the game had better hazard rules. Water all down a side is basically OB. Bit me on 9 in r4. Just sped my finish to get my check for the week.

I could not agree with this more. I am hopeless on slow greens. I feel like HB got the physics completely wrong on this one, which is a shame because most of the game is spot on physics wise IMO.

Like the last time we had this conversation Bob, I hope you are right and I'm wrong And the current scores from R1 suggest you may well be........provided all the 'fast' players take the week off due to all the water on the right they have to aim at I have just recently started playing this game in Oct and I always check all of the Tours to see who is winning in each Tour. I noticed that the scores were a lot higher this week. Instead of mid to high 50s they are 60-62 range for the leaders. I had to play the course just see why people took the week off. A lot of water and trees and high bushes and trees on the right side. Challenging course playing it straight. BTW, My money is still on Sloan to win it. BTW, on the Platinum Tour is there a US Open type course that is extremely difficult that make the Top 5 scores finish at around level par like the pros on the PGA Tour?
