Hope everyone is having a fabulous day. Just a suggestion that hopefully would avoid drama and improve the odds of getting courses approved.
On the main site where your see “course submission guidelines” can someone actually post the guidelines there? To me it’s confusing as I actually do not see where they are listed. Also there was recent talk about illegal pins and I don’t see anything anywhere where the 9 hole box has officially changed on the new game. Just a good suggestion that may help some folks and avoid some back and forth between heated posts.
Pins -While this is more of a job for the rangers, pins should still follow the 9-box rule -The 9-box rule states that the box the pin is in and the 8 surrounding that one should not contain any yellow or red slopes -Pins in the middle of large yellow or red slopes will not be approved -Pins should be placed in multiple locations; not all pins on one pin set should be in the back right of the green, for example -Pins should allow a fair chance to hit an approach close

For the new game - the 9x9 rule is now orange/red - as Orange in the new game is the old yellow.
Also - it has been mentioned that as long as there is no red/orange in the square in which the pin lies, the hole 'could' be considered ok. This iteration of the game, you are able to stop the ball on a yellow/orange slope - so some yellow and a small bit of orange in the 9x9 would likely get marked as a point of notice, but would likely not be considered illegal.

Awesome. I figured as much but don’t think the guidelines actually state that. Also if they could be posted under the course submission guidelines that would be really helpful to a lot of newer designers. Think it could also help tremendously by cutting down the number of rejections and free up some of the reviewers time potentially. Thanks in advance.

Another Vote for getting the guidelines where we can find them.. Even if I don't want to submit my course for approval, I still would want to read them to see what considerations are.
Every link I can find just takes me to a pretty blank page that says submission guidelines, but has no actual guidelines.

Bumping this sorry. Really think this idea would be very beneficial to the reviewer as well as the designer (updating the course submission guidelines with major reasons a course won’t get approved.
