Great course! As for the walking paths, I really like the way they look, especially from the overhead views of the yard book.

I have no idea how you got the tees as they are... looks awesome though. I'll play it tomorrow!

hi Q - i just published Windsor GC - Nike Tour on 2019 -- it's right down the road! i lived in Santa Rosa near the airport there and would see the private planes flying in for the gathering... at the driving range near my house at the time... peace - martin (ZoSoSF)

NIce work. Finally got around to checking this out. This will be course #3 which should tee off around 8:30pm this Friday for Xbox Alt+shot....depending on the crashing nonsense. Cannot wait to see the rest of this.

Really enjoyed this course! The background story is cool and there was obviously a lot of thought and effort put into this. Great job with the write up. Never heard of that club before, but it sounds similar to the Skull and Bones society, maybe that's the West Coast version, but we'll never really know. The strategy and variety of holes throughout make this course excellent. The only negative I took away from the course was the unrealistic walking paths. I would've liked to see the dew paths disconnected from the Greens. Separates the holes instead of drawing lines from a Green to the next Tee box. The golfer shouldn't miss the Green by a yard or so and somehow find a strip of light rough, happened to me twice somehow during my round from the Green tees. And I think there was a hole on the front nine where you connected all of the dew paths. That's not necessary in my opinion, doesn't look right to me. Other than that there is a ton to like with this course. I thought the Green complexes were really well done and the environment you created was top notch. Would've done really well in the Rookie Design Contest. Is this the first course you've ever designed?

Is this the first course you've ever designed? yup, first course! the dew paths were certainly a controversial design choice and looking back I would probably not do them, maybe when I port it to the next game... If I had the meter I would've made the heavy rough much longer which would've made the rough lines make more sense. thinking of doing dirt paths instead for my next course. I extensively relied on betas and feedback to overcome my novice-ness before release and reworked it several times, took me almost 3 months to make!

I remember when this was first released and I thought interesting story and interesting looking course. Played this tonight and WOW! This is one of my very favourite fictional courses played in the game to date. To be honest I wasn't a huge fan of Asylum but this course is right in my wheelhouse. The colour palette, the lighting, the planting, the hole design and elevation change, green contouring and speed, the waterways and the design around the boundary plot was absolutely "A" grade. I loved every shot on every hole and would happily come back and play again and again knowing a different challenge awaits based on the write up and the variable teeing ground. What struck me most was the colour contrast between emerald green fairway and burnt rough. The green was not to light and the heavy rough not too dark. It was just the perfect blend of colour. But for me what topped it off was the considered planting along each hole. It created such a immersive believable experience. I'm interested to hear what your inspiration for this course was because I absolutely love the aesthetic. Favourite hole probably 16 with the green tucked just a little into the water. Beautiful approach. Every hole was different but felt very cohesive. I also sensed a little template design with the bunker styling. very clean and almost geometrical in areas. It had a great blend of old and new. My only nitpick was I thought the retaining wall on the par 3 hole on the front 9 was a little big and felt a touch out of place. Such a great job Q ! And sorry it has taken me so long to play this gem. Cheers

And sorry it has taken me so long to play this gem. Cheers Howdy, it's funny to see this course bumped again. This was my first course in TGC but I was an avid course designer in the TW series when they had imo a much better course designer on the PC version circa 2004-2007. Frankly it's a culmination of my best hole designs from that era slapped onto one course so in terms of style and hole design, I still don't think I'll be able to make another like it. In terms of sculpting bohemian is very rough around the edges, I ended up deleting most of the retaining walls off the course because I couldn't get the hang of them so that's why there is that one residual one on hole 8. Asylum is polished to a tee but bohemian is definitely still my favorite. Glad you liked it, I will probably port and polish this course for the next 2k game as from a technical perspective it needs a lot of help.
