I'm hoping that "touring up" won't be needed in the future as more and more courses come out that are already PGA/Euro tour ready. The medium firm/fast green combo with non-flat greens is the easiest way to get there currently. The firm/fast has to be done properly. Once more settings on the firmness dial become available the sky's the limit.
So I vote option 2, with a 10/90 split on TGCT and designers.

I was going to pick option 4 (don't care) but seeing our Tournament Director Doyley chose option 2...I stand by his selection as I think he and his crew are doing a fabulous job that will always be open to criticism. Not all the course choices have been my favs, nor should they as we make up a vast array of personal desires. I've seen a great variety of selections that surely have had some that cater to everyone's desires here and there.

Option 2, but with a bit more forward planning which i am 100% sure is what's going to happen as more and more courses are designed with the challenge in mind.
