This is an underrated amazing post. Just wanted to highlight it incase anyone misses it. Ps I agree with those commenting on “fun” factor and have thoughts, not no time to type them now - nor does it really matter. But interesting to see others spontaneously saying things about it that I’ve been thinking. Some of us have been at this for years - doesn't take much to take fun out of it and make it a grind. And when we do have fun, it doesn't fill the tanks completely full again. Couple that with the fact that this tour has ... we'll let's just be honest here - it has one exceptionally good golfer that has figured out the game and has the right system and controller all in one magical package. So if he tees it up there's only a handful that can challenge him for a win. For the other 95% it's just a battle for PB's. I always said that lower/more realistic scores can be fun as long as everyone feels they have a shot - this it the one tour where that isn't true so between the vets getting burnout and others finishing 30 shots behind the leader every week, it's a tough grind. Can only hope the PS5 doesn't keep same polling rate...what is this, 1995??? Let's go sony! Played a TST speed round on PS5 and it felt the same as PS4 to me. *shrug*

I am finding some better tempo lately. I think less people are playing jamming up the servers. I used to only have a few good times to play but now seems like any evening a little later is pretty good.

I used to only have a few good times to play but now seems like any evening a little later is pretty good. I never attributed that to gameplay but it makes perfect sense. Lately I’m not enjoying the game as much and only playing for an hour or two when I get home from work, just like everyone else on the eastern seaboard of the US. Maybe come early June when I have my first tiny human to attend to I can carve out some weird hours to play.

I suspect those of us with kids struggle to be on top of our game!!

I think the game plays wonderfully but when there's no chance to compete, except for making a cut, it zaps much of the enjoyment out of it. I'm going to make it out of Kinetic to Elite next week and I don't know what to think of it. I'm competing in Kinetic but if I find myself on the cut line every week in Elite...meh. Tough spot for the admin's too.

Maybe we should just get rid of the tempo and then EVERYONE would have a better chance to compete. I feel bad for a lot of these folks and their frustrations. I'm fine with the play as is, but I REALLY would like to see many different folks competing. If we get rid of the tempo it would just be like TGC 1...which isn't a bad thing!! It was all about course management and knowing when to play a pitch, or a chip, or set yourself up for a full shot. I think now we just grip it and rip it and hope we get a fast, slow, or however you decide to play. It would definitely level the playing field a whole lot. I don't think it can make it worse. Just a thought...

Would be whoever holed out the most eagles wins type thing.

I think over time things might tighten up. Players will get better at different paces. I’ve been progressing it’s just a slow process since I feel I can’t play more then a few rounds a day or I lose it.

Is it possible to find this course not in society mode? Search for A Course Has No Name Have a few times. The only one that comes up definitely isn't the right course. At least on ps4.

Search for A Course Has No Name Have a few times. The only one that comes up definitely isn't the right course. At least on ps4. According to a tweet last night by the designer, 2k has deleted the course yet again. He said he will republish it on Monday under Yet a new name!
