The Cyder Cup
Just over 5 hours before The Cyder Cup is open for business at Royal Melb. (Composite) so here are the pairings for Day 1 which will be scored in Match Play format based on total score of the pair on each hole.

Walk of Shame Week the Final, Round 3 vs fellow countryman Randy &rmhiii As usual, I take the ghost of my captain, Pete, this time in head to head action against Randall Howard McDonalds the Third, or as I shall call him here, Randy Three Eyes (because he has 3 i’s) Right away the mystique of Mr. Three Eyes struck me betwixt my two, and I opened with very pedestrian back to back bogeys. Crap, here we go again. Sensing trouble, Captain Pete took me aside and reminded me, “hey, loser, Randy is awesome, yes, but you should never fear your opponent. Only respect him. Now give me your bag, and carry mine. I put a dozen bricks in it for good luck, and my old back is tired.” I looked Randy Three Eyes right in the middle one and shouted “I DON’T FEAR YOU, RANDY MCDONALDS!!! BUT I RESPECT YOU!!!” I proceeded to respect him much like the (insert the best team in your favorite sport) respects the (insert the worst of all time team in your favorite sport, the little girl version), to the tune of carding 9 birdies and an eagle over the next 13 holes, until I hiccuped on #16 (drive over the green, splash over the green, chip, two-putt) into a double bogey to break the string. Hardly daunted, I scored my second tap-in eagle of the day on 17 before Pete took his lucky bag away from me and wiped the blood from my eyes. SkyBlueBen, golf felt good on this day Rd 3: -9  Randy, I respect you, but don’t expect me to call you in the morning.  |

Walk of Shame - last walk of the season Ernie... respect AND fear the Cappy Hung with him for a short while, he would pull ahead, tease me by missing an occasional birdie, threw me a bone one time with a surprise bogey, but in the end, my bottomless cup of pars were no match for the legend, SkyBlueBen. Rd 4: -3 I tip my cap to Cappy.   |

HAIR OF THE DOG - BREW CREW FINAL RESULTS - WEEK 5
Match 1 - The In Ciders vs The Rum Raiders
Reasonably close this one. RR got away early in the pairs with standout rounds from Dave S and Marc. Only that pair of x-boxer shorts, Ashton & Les, were able to stem the tide with a single victory over Marc & Paul.Singles matches were shared equally with good performances by Dave S and Andy. Good win to TiC who were slightly too strong for RR.
TiC 14 to RR 10
Match 2 - The Brew-Tang Clan vs The KASK Beer Buddies
This one was even closer with both sides registering -117 each. In a similar story to the previous match The Clan edged their way in front in the pairs with very solid wins to the partnership of Dave H and Michael, taking maximum points. The Buddies were slightly better in the singles with Ken L taking out both his matches, Dan also gained maximum points for his side and managed to drag the Clan over the line for a good win.
TBTC 13 to TKBB 11
Match 3 - Brahms & Liszt vs Grip it & Sip it
This one wasn't close at all. Pairs were almost even but B & L edged in front slightly with both Ben & Johnny in fine fettle taking maximum points. GiSi were overwhelmed in the singles by a rampaging B & L side 6 matches to 2, with only Pete & Mark providing slight resistance. Strong and deserved win to B & L here.

MVPs - Dave S, Ben & Johnny all with full houses
Blobs - Art B
High Rollers - Dave S -49, Dan -49 and Ken L -44
Team Event - The Brew-Tang Clan with 83 points
Best Individual in Team Event - Art V with a massive 33 points from his -15

Season 3 FinalTeamThe team competition proved the tightest so far going down to the last day with Brahms & Liszt (Johnny evilgrin72 Ernie cappy1 Randy RHMIII and Ben SkyBlueBen) securing the title after being run very close by the Rum Raiders.
 IndividualThe Individual title was rightly secured by the player who proved himself to be the best golfer all round over the season. Congratulations to David Stevenson dave69 with a season total of 32 points. He was pushed hard throughout the season by Johnny evilgrin72 who finished 2nd with Dan catcherman22 and Andy Avakrac sharing 3rd.

 All that remains is to say see you all at The Cyder Cup and back for Season 4 commencing 28th March 2021. Best of luck to Ken W coggin66 who is stepping back from the regular season to concentrate on his design work. He will remain both as a sub and as a competitor in our side competitions. And welcome to his replacement Mark B mbuenger making his debut in the regular season.
