When I saw this post and recorded the score in the spreadsheet, my immediate thought was "Great!  So Happy that my Frienamy Mark L IGolfBad found some form, I know he has worked hard to try and get better despite his acceptance of being the Wooden Spoon Czar.". 

But then Les had to bring to my attention that I was Mark's mark with this historic round.  New thought:  "OH NO!  I can't get beat by HIM!!!!!"  It was a great score after all, I even congratulated him last night during our alt shot games.  My form has been slightly better, but I played Seven Pines before and struggled on it.  I felt a sense of doom.

BBB4, Week 1, Round 1



I've been watching all week as these amazing scores have come in, one after the other, and I've been feeling equal parts impressed and intimidated. Tonight I finally decided to give it a go myself, and it went better than I expected. Clearly not the toughest course we've played all year, but good fun nonetheless. The greens were true though, and that's what helped me score as well as I did.

I don't know if I can keep it up, but right now I'm just happy I was able to run with the pack for 18 holes.

I had to get a new controller and my approaches were spot on but the putting was off as the stick felt loose compared to the other controller. I left 5 birdie putts on the table in Rd 4. 😡😡😡😡

I'm steadily sliding backwards with each round, but if at the outset you'd have offered me -37 after 3 rounds I'd have bitten your hand off and then come back for the elbow.

never been so disappointed with a -13 in Round 3, was -10 thru 10 and just couldn't get an approach within 20ft and parring the last 4 or 5 holes was infuriating

Season 9 BBB Round 2 vs The Ever Fair Miss Carol inflames47





Facing Carol’s -10, and fearing my first round -11 was nothing more than a one-off, I started the round with a giant sense of trepidation.



Which quickly eased as I dropped four birds on the first five holes, and -11 today seemed well within reach!

Then quicker you can say “Bob’s your uncle”, twenty of the wheels on my 18-wheeler fell right off, destroying any momentum I once had, and my grip on the Wooden Spoon tightened mightily.



Turned two more birds to wrap up the front at -4, and my confidence remained shaken.



Needing 6 birds in nine holes seemed out of reach, given my history, but a routine tweet on #10 gave me a glimmer of hope, bringing me to -5.

Then, the unlikely happened. A must watch…






In two swings of the club, I went from -5 to -9, a single stroke from tying Miss Carol.

Used the next three holes to regain my composure, then stared down the final three holes needing only two birds to capture the unexpected win.

Art Vandelay Wutpa I did all that and one better…



Three of them to be exact.

Rd 2: -12
