Bradford Bar Bash Segment 4 Week 1 Round 1  Taking on the Golden One, Art Vandelay, this go round, so goody for me!  Watched the low scores roll in yet practice rounds bore no fruit for this bad golfer.  Resigned myself to yet another Wooden Spoon, when the voice of the eponymous Paul Bradford sid snott spoke to me.  Confused, I set out to play the round, ready to card a bogey-ridden mess, and take my lumps, when Paul spoke to me again.  And so I did. Rd 1: -11  Thank you, Paul Bradford.  |

BBB - week 1, first half Art Vandelay Wutpa The small difference between tryhard Plat Major courses and this course in my performance. Sure, it wasn't a -19 start like it was when it was on CC a few weeks ago, but way more like it to hopefully not be in tier 3 by the end of this run. Used this to tune up for much harder Elite stuff (since I still managed to hang into this week) and still hanging by a thread there against every odd... don't think I'll make it to the end but it's nice to have belief in my game again.

The week's activitiesArt Vandelay Wutpa Been struggling to get connected to the server since Sunday, infamous 1702 error managed to count down to zero today only before it eventually loaded. Barely. Was supposed to load Seven Pines but looks like all I got my side was Even Pins. Soldiered on, think I maybe could have scored a few shots better had I been able to play all 72.

Art Vandelay WutpaBradford Beer Bash After gaining a modicum of revenge in round 1 on deathstar for the constant bombing i relaxed and took my eye off the ball for rounds 2 and 3, knuckled down for round 4 for a decent finish. Nicely designed course, enjoyed it.

So Happy that my Frienamy Mark L IGolfBad found some form, I know he has worked hard to try and get better despite his acceptance of being the Wooden Spoon Czar.". But then Les had to bring to my attention that I was Mark's mark with this historic round. New thought: "OH NO! I can't get beat by HIM!!!!!" It was a great score after all, I even congratulated him last night during our alt shot games. My form has been slightly better, but I played Seven Pines before and struggled on it. I felt a sense of doom. I'll now post my card for human consumption:  GG Mark, I wish you all the best in the rest of BBB4. phew, THAT was a close one, clean cards and allOnward! |

Finishing up.
I thought my putting was bad in round 2, but I had no idea what was going to happen in round 4. I played really decently overall, but my putting killed me. I left no less than five putts short and on line -- as in between 4 inches and a foot and a bit -- in the final round, and my overall percentage for medium putts for all four rounds was 81%. No chance to win with those kind of numbers.
Anyway, without further ado, scores on doors:
