Cheers Ben and Les. This may all be rather premature anyway, as I still have to play R4 and I have a history of final round crumbles to look back on. But I appreciate the que sera, sera approach to it, so maybe that's best - I'll just play it and then sit back and see what happens as a consequence. Yep, I screwed it up. Could only manage -5 in the final round for -39 in total. But I have zero complaints, I'd certainly have bitten their hand off if they'd offered me -39 at the start, it's just a rather anticlimactic finish I suppose. So let's see what happens. As of right now I'm in equal 41st place, so a top 50 finish seems likely with only 3 hours to go.

Asking Plat players to demote doesn’t bode well though.

I’ve had this crisis this week. In a division above my ability. Missed 3 cuts so far and was bombing this week’s when I shut the game down. Even asked permission to not bother playing my TGCT rounds. Then I reflected. How can I expect to be doing well when I only pick the game up once a week and race through my rounds? So manned up, finished my Elite (two demo’s) and vowed to review how I play my rounds each week. At the end of the day the worst that can happen is to get demoted to a level more suitable. So my advice, for what it’s worth, is go for it!! Give Posh a go. Finish the Promo and take your place wherever the dice fall. The form you are in you’ll probably find you’ll be fine anyway in Posh. And if it turns out too tough, you’ll just end up back in CC. If you don’t give it a shot you’ll always be left wondering what if. Good luck!! TGCTOURS have asked for volunteers to step down from Platinum to Elite due to excessive numbers in Platinum. I have volunteered. Platinum has been a struggle for me. Elite is more my level. So hopefully, from next week, I will be a bona fide member of Elite 🤞 Ideal. Plat players landing in Elite should ensure my demotion to Kinetic next week 🤣

I’ve tried to play a little more during the week so loading up the game tomorrow won’t be such a trial. Will knock out my 2 Elite rounds first and see where I land. Then it’ll be onto the serious Brew Crew business but will stretch them out a little next week.

Art VandelayOFTR Now Tapatalk won’t let me add any more pictures…. So I’ve taken a photo of it. Hopefully you can still see it ok. How I came away with -9 is a mystery. Played really badly but ended up bogey-free. Chipped in at least twice, once from a bush. Rolled in a 50ft par putt. Maybe I need to Raid the Rum after my rounds…… Go on The Raiders!!! Cheers.

Well I should be happy I made the cut in CC-H, where clearly I belong as I have not gotten a demotion or promotion mark since I arrived eons ago. And my mediocrity showed in this weeks final 3 rounds. With three +1s this week, not even sure mediocrity is the right word.
R3 -3 R4 And OFTR

Hello Friends, Jim Nance coming to you live from the Happiest Place on Earth to bring you the best of week 5 of The Brew Crew season. This week The Crew visited The Elevens Club for the World Golf Hall of Fame Open. Would the Bandits be able to keep going? Will the Raiders be able to bring the season back to at least a 2 horse race? We shall see. Now, let’s jump on in to the action (Match lines provided by DraftBings Sportsbook). Bourbon Bandits (-4.5) Dickens Cider Casuals The Casuals look to become the first team to slow down the high flying Bandits this week and if the opening two days were any indication, they are going to give the Bandits all they can handle. A possible overlooking of the Casuals to future opponents led to splits on the opening two days, a position the Bandits have not found themselves in often this season. The Bandits looked to shake off their slow start on day 3 and put the pressure on the Casuals to pull out the win. They were able to jump out in front by sweeping the day 3 matches and things were looking up heading into day 4. However the Casuals just refused to be put away, securing 2 wins and 2 draws on day 4 to see the Bandits drop points for the first time this season in a stunning upset (?). Rum Raiders (-3.5) v Bulldog Brewers The second place Raiders were looking to once again close the gap to the top this week and found themselves up against the middle of the table Brewers this week. Captain Ben implored his team for the need to start fast and get the early points and that’s exactly what they did jumping all over the Brewers on the opening two days sweeping both matches. Looking to get back into the match Carol rallied her troops for a day 3 split. However, that was all the momentum they would be able to muster as day 4 saw each team win a match outright and the other two matchups resulted in a draw giving the Raiders a definitive victory. The Cupid Stunts v As You Brew (-8.5) The Stunts were truly looking for anything positive and competitive this week as the last three weeks have sent them straight to the bottom of the table after their opening week win. The task before them would not be an easy one though as they faced off against last season’s champs As You Brew. The Stunts proved they were up to the task early drawing a split on day 1 and again on day 2. Could this be the momentum changer they need for the season? A third consecutive day of split action saw the Stunts firmly in with a chance to win this week. However, Captain Ross lit a fire under his team before day 4 and went out to lead by example winning the first match in a dominant sweep of day 4 sending the Stunts to their 4th consecutive decisive defeat. Menace to Sobriety v Hobgoblins (-1.5) A middle of the table battle between the Hobgoblins and Menace featuring a slew of new players for Menace as the team continues to face quite the in season turmoil. This has led to the Hobgoblins being slight favorites heading into the match. A day 1 split showed that this match would be tight regardless of who Menace threw out there. And Menace would take the lead after day 2 winning one match and securing a draw in the second. Day 3 saw the Hobgoblins jump out in front as they successfully completed a sweep of the day’s action. It would come down to day 4 with the winning side still very much in question and it was day 4 where the Hobgoblins shined brightest taking 3 of the 4 matches outright to secure the come from behind victory at the death while covering the spread Team Scoreboard: Bourbon Bandits (-4.5) 10 v 10 Dickens Cider Casuals Rum Raiders (-3.5) 14 v 6 Bulldog Brewers The Cupid Stunts 6 v 14 As You Brew (-8.5) Menace to Sobriety 9 v 11 Hobgoblins (-1.5) Now, let have a look at our Next Gen Stats powered by AWS: The Semi-Centennial Club -Nobody this week, the club lounge is empty Highest Team Score -Rum Raiders (-132) Top Individual Scorers -Ross Nixon (-46) -Charles Lindbergh (-45) -Chris Grzesik (-39) Low Individual Round R1 - Marc van Niekerk, Charles Lindbergh (-13) R2 - Ross Nixon (-13) R3 - Chris Grzesik (-14) R4 - Ross Nixon (-13) Team Points Leaders (8) -Marcus Clowers Better Luck Next Week Blob Award -Chuck Gunsaullus OFTR Highest Scorer -Sean Prowse (32) -Ross Nixon (29) -Charles Lindbergh (26) Onward!

Got an early start on the week as my terrible play is getting into my head. And this course didn’t help. Am I tripping that this is one of the hardest courses we have seen in CC in a while? Maybe they actually listened to our yapping last season. I enjoyed it even though the scores aren’t spectacular. arthurvandelay

Pub Crawl @ Rock, Paper and Scissors PointArt Vandelay Sometimes when one's PC is too old and too tired to keep up with the demands demanded by the application then the game becomes easier. One already knows upfront that the swing won't register as straight (ish), nor will it be a perfect. That leaves one with either fast - left or right, or slow - left or right. A 75% chance of success if one wants/needs to avoid a certain area. Only time i was able to hit my 60 fps limit set was on the black transition screens between holes. Fast forward to the 2nd in round 4. Risking the shorter approach by hoping to hit the flat part between the clump of trees and the water is guaranteed - only on not hitting it slow and right. That be screwed with a capital F. Golfing gods - being cynical and heartless - granted me the 25% i needed to avoid. Will be watching the cricket in a standing position later today. Just one of those days - usually a golf tourney a mix of taking the good with the bad. There was no good in 72 holes of playing.
