Art Vandelay Apologies to fellow team members, tried my best but Charles was too much for me this week. Kept with him for a long time on R4 but he crept in front with nothing I could do in reply. Redeemed myself on OFTR, -14 with 2 bogeys on the card. Great OFTR Sean!

Pub Crawl Rounds 3&4 and OFTR I am very bad at this game. I do not deserve to be anywhere near Tier 2. Please relegate me to Tier 4. Thank you. arthurvandelay Round 4 OFTR. Love a desert course!

Snub Bawl Wrap Up or Go Drunk; You’re Home Played the last two rounds slightly under the influence, Art VandelayActual footage of this week’s play seen below: The promise of winning CC-J this week quickly faded on round 3, but I think I wrapped up strong enough to snag my first promo mark in about a decade and forge a tie with Tony runkibus in match play. Who knows? Rd 3: -2 Will it be enough to secure the Casuals’ first victory?

One For The Road or A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival …or A Funny Thing Happened on the Par Train Anyway, Art Vandelay, scoring this mess will be easy for you.

Wutpa Loving your progress in the Promo Nigel. I smell POSH!! Cheers Ben. I'm genuinely considering not playing R4! It'd be a bit of a travesty if I got promoted to POSH, and I'd have trouble breathing up where the air is that thin. It looks like I've just secured my promotion to CC-B the regular way, so I'm tempted to just let that be. On the other hand, I'm curious to see how I finish in the promo event, and damn the consequences! What to do, what to do.....

On the other hand, I'm curious to see how I finish in the promo event, and damn the consequences! What to do, what to do..... I’ve had this crisis this week. In a division above my ability. Missed 3 cuts so far and was bombing this week’s when I shut the game down. Even asked permission to not bother playing my TGCT rounds. Then I reflected. How can I expect to be doing well when I only pick the game up once a week and race through my rounds? So manned up, finished my Elite (two demo’s) and vowed to review how I play my rounds each week. At the end of the day the worst that can happen is to get demoted to a level more suitable. So my advice, for what it’s worth, is go for it!! Give Posh a go. Finish the Promo and take your place wherever the dice fall. The form you are in you’ll probably find you’ll be fine anyway in Posh. And if it turns out too tough, you’ll just end up back in CC. If you don’t give it a shot you’ll always be left wondering what if. Good luck!!

I was up in the top league in the first game i think I got up to top 100 on WGR then subsequent games I dropped way down the WGR to about 3 or 4 thousands I’ve been slowly making my way back up since I got a controller that allows me to be competitive to a reasonable level. The last promo of last season I got promoted to Kinetic I’ve missed cuts from the beginning of this season but only by a shot or two so I wasn’t getting demo marks. Three weeks ago I had a terrible start to one of the tournaments and picked up two demo marks but this week I’ve just managed to remove one of those. Just go for it mate the worst that can happen is your out of your depths for a few weeks but will slowly make your way back down again if your not good enough. I’m really a competent CC standard but I keep trying stay in Kinetic. Edit: Here’s my ranking way back then

Cheers Ben and Les. This may all be rather premature anyway, as I still have to play R4 and I have a history of final round crumbles to look back on. But I appreciate the que sera, sera approach to it, so maybe that's best - I'll just play it and then sit back and see what happens as a consequence.

Art VandelayHola Arturo - Week 5 OFTR scorecard. Started out great on the front nine with good shots and good putting. Could keep it up on the back nine where I got some bad fasts and started just missing some puts. Not too bad considering.

Closing up for the week.
Things were looking pretty rosy at 9 under through 9 holes in round 3, so my third round score was pretty much the worst it was going to be. Tempo was spot on, and the only thing holding me back from a phenomenal score was my putting.
I went into round 4 with confidence sky high and proceeded to make a nice birdie on the first. I have no idea what happened over the next two holes, but I hit one along the ground from the 2nd tee and had two extreme-end tempos on the next hole as well. Tbh, I think I did okay to get in with the score I did in round 4 after that. Really sick of round-breaking tempos out of nowhere. My only consolation for this tournament is that I was second in the proximity-to-hole stat, only 1.2 feet behind the tournament leader. Man, I need to work on my putting.
My thanks to Crazy Croc for keeping me company in these last two rounds.
