First off, I'd like to say I'm devastated that I couldn't find a gif of the BBC show It's a Knockout to preface my remarks.
Played a couple of practice rounds before I started and was shooting around +6 again, so I recalibrated. That seemed to sort the tempo out to my liking, but the frameskips were still there for the rest of the day. Not much fun.
All that said, apart from one teeshot along the ground and one weird slow, I played pretty well in this round.
Thank you, lessangster, for the game. I got lucky that the game behaved itself better for me in this round than it did earlier. Also, more by luck than judgment, I managed to not leave myself some of the ridiculous putts that lurked.
That’s the result I expected when I saw the draw I’m lucky that way 😜 even if I had avoided putting off the green it wouldn’t have helped. Now I face the Bear 🐻 next week. No Coke for you...  |

Art Vandelay I will be needing a substitute the next 3 weeks. I am deploying to Hawaii tomorrow with the Red Cross (they are still helping folks after the fires). They literally asked me if I could go last night and have me on a plane at 6 AM tomorrow. Not even 48 hours notice - the military couldn't make things happen that fast! My team is probably happy to see me take a little break after the shitshow that was this week. R3 -2 R4 was almost something to be happy about, then I bogied 17. Just double checking here, not sure if you guys saw this post? Art Vandelay SkyBlueBen But we are going to need a sub for the next three weeks on the Hobgoblins. Edit: We'll gladly take Craig Henderson with no handicap added  |

Scrub Sprawl Week 1 Round 3 or We Are All Super Subs  Opening bogey in high winds and slow greens prepared me for another classic Bad Golf outing.   But…  Yes, Art Vandelay, I spun a round of many more birdies than bogeys. How many bogeys?  And how many birdies?  In the end, it was a decent try. Rd 3: -5  Onward Casuals!  |

Crumble Week 1 Round 4 or Matchplay with my favorite Zoo Beeper, Randy zooby97 Finishing out the sweep by my guy Randy, all the way from Tampa Bay, I chose my regular tactic of spotting my opposition an early lead, then never looking back.  Randy did his best to let me hang around, then employed his own strategy on #12 by putting TWO tee shots into the drink.  The trick worked as I proceeded not to win a single hole after that, Art VandelayRandy wins it 4&2  Well played, Mr. Zube! Any other day, I think I could lose to you, and this day proved to be no different!  Apologies to the Casuals for my poor Week 1 showing costing us the win. I will do better!  |
