Pub Crawl - week 1 final Garbage week for me, then again I don't usually start off too hot on any TGC season so maybe next week will be better again... it has to be after this inconsistent mess of a week. Don't know who "Brian" is but I wasn't blessed with particularly good scores on these here links... except for maybe 1 and a half rounds.   Art Vandelay

Art Vandelay OFTR Nice course, but I wish I could have made fewer pars  Rounds 3/4 After a nice round 3, I sort of got stuck in round 4

First off, I'd like to say I'm devastated that I couldn't find a gif of the BBC show It's a Knockout to preface my remarks.
Played a couple of practice rounds before I started and was shooting around +6 again, so I recalibrated. That seemed to sort the tempo out to my liking, but the frameskips were still there for the rest of the day. Not much fun.
All that said, apart from one teeshot along the ground and one weird slow, I played pretty well in this round.
Thank you, lessangster, for the game. I got lucky that the game behaved itself better for me in this round than it did earlier. Also, more by luck than judgment, I managed to not leave myself some of the ridiculous putts that lurked.

OFTR.
Just couldn't get it going whatsoever in this round. It's a fabulous course and I really enjoyed playing it -- in fact, I used it last week in IB -- but it was frustrating to not get it done.

That’s the result I expected when I saw the draw I’m lucky that way 😜 even if I had avoided putting off the green it wouldn’t have helped. |
