Whew, just checking in on my Brew Crew Brothers and Sisters! Much like lessangster , and I am sure others, I too have been lost in space for the last 8 days. I have put a ridiculous 50 hours into Starfield already, and I have barely even done anything, quest wise. This really is a game that will remain on my XBox/PC for a number of years. It is incredible. However, SkyBlueBen , keep in mind, the first 5-10 hours really aren't the best, as you may have read elsewhere if you follow it religiously like I do. It is a slow burn to get out of the handcuffs and learn the systems (with no tutorials, mind you)....but man, once you do, it's one of the biggest, most fun games I have ever played, hands down. Just make it through those initial hours, and hopefully it 'clicks' for you! It really is a game that gives back more the more you put into it, and it only gets better and better with each passing hour, IMHO. Now, back to Brew Crew biz. Totally forgot about the RUMBLE, but I should be able to get the rounds in before the event closes today. But I wanted to stop in and give a thank you to all here in the Brew Crew, especially lessangster who recommended the Wolverine controller + his kick ass swing tip. As you can see in the below graph of my World Golf Rank, I bet you can see where that change took place. I was at a rank low of 2,730 after week 10 of the season. Over the remainder of the season, I wound up climbing the ladder organically (with no promo events) from CC-K to CC-B, with two tournament victories....climbing to WGR 565 at the end of the season. Quite the turnaround! Fun Fact: I haven't missed a cut since that week 10. Way back in mid-January. I am not looking forward to potentially being a posh boy next year, as those courses kick my ass, but luckily, CC-B and CC-A should keep me in the CC field for a while. Thank you all, again. I would most likely not be playing PGA2k anymore if it wasn't for The Brew Crew (and be using that extra time to survey and explore all 1,000 planets in Starfield), but I will never STOP playing PGA 2k23 BECAUSE of The Brew Crew. So....cheers! I can’t take all the credit for the wolverine as it was recommended by David Herron portred he takes all the credit. If I was still using the original controller I probably wouldn’t be playing on tours right now I just saw that it was creating a level playing field for Xbox and once I ran it past the TGC admins for its legality I started using it. I only use the wolverine for golf never any other game as it seems HB can’t find a way to level the playing field across the platforms. Loving Starfield as it allows me to do something I’ve been wanting to do on Elite Dangerous for some time actually walk on a planets surface unfortunately Frontier Developments pulled the plug on Xbox a while ago and then Bethesda comes along with a classic in my opinion.

The Wolverine saved the game for me also Les but on PC which is not much better with a stock XB controller (but ok with a DS4 apparently, but not my style of controller). As for Starfield, Sunday is golf day but may take a look during the week. Every time I decide to walk away someone puts something on here that sparks my interest!

On PC Ben you have the ability to use any controller even mouse if you so desire us Xboxer’s are stuck with the original controller or a third party one that usually doesn’t come up to standard. If you like exploration games you will enjoy Starfield and as Michael says the first few hours in the game can be a bit less overwhelming but persevere and it improves it’s not a game that you have to finish in one sitting.

Stumble Week 2 Art Vandelay After a very enjoyable 3 rounds of Alt Shot with Art and the 2 doctors, I thought I'd keep going. Gradually got worse each round and completely lost the plot on the back 9 in the 4th Round, which I played even, with 2 bogies and a double. Anyway that's me for this week 🤪. Great course Doe Doe Coba. Bring on the next Season 😊. Also had another granddaughter born this morning. Mabel ❤️

The RUMbleArt VandelayVery strange morning of golf. Slightly dull head after celebrating England's stunning 14 man victory over the Argies, a slow start was followed by my best round ever (-19). Took a break to do the TGCT event, worst round for ages (+3). Decided with that kind of form I wouldn't go back to the RUMble so did TGCT Round 2 and hit a respectable -11. So back to the RUMble I went. Solid but unspectacular 3rd round so headed into Round 4 with Ross' score in the back of my head. Levelled him with a four to go then proceeded to par both the par 5's and lipped out the birdie putt on the 18th. Jeez!!! Fun track. Would play again.
