Whew, just checking in on my Brew Crew Brothers and Sisters! Much like lessangster , and I am sure others, I too have been lost in space for the last 8 days. I have put a ridiculous 50 hours into Starfield already, and I have barely even done anything, quest wise. This really is a game that will remain on my XBox/PC for a number of years. It is incredible. However, SkyBlueBen , keep in mind, the first 5-10 hours really aren't the best, as you may have read elsewhere if you follow it religiously like I do. It is a slow burn to get out of the handcuffs and learn the systems (with no tutorials, mind you)....but man, once you do, it's one of the biggest, most fun games I have ever played, hands down. Just make it through those initial hours, and hopefully it 'clicks' for you! It really is a game that gives back more the more you put into it, and it only gets better and better with each passing hour, IMHO. Now, back to Brew Crew biz. Totally forgot about the RUMBLE, but I should be able to get the rounds in before the event closes today. But I wanted to stop in and give a thank you to all here in the Brew Crew, especially lessangster who recommended the Wolverine controller + his kick ass swing tip. As you can see in the below graph of my World Golf Rank, I bet you can see where that change took place. I was at a rank low of 2,730 after week 10 of the season. Over the remainder of the season, I wound up climbing the ladder organically (with no promo events) from CC-K to CC-B, with two tournament victories....climbing to WGR 565 at the end of the season. Quite the turnaround! Fun Fact: I haven't missed a cut since that week 10. Way back in mid-January. I am not looking forward to potentially being a posh boy next year, as those courses kick my ass, but luckily, CC-B and CC-A should keep me in the CC field for a while. Thank you all, again. I would most likely not be playing PGA2k anymore if it wasn't for The Brew Crew (and be using that extra time to survey and explore all 1,000 planets in Starfield), but I will never STOP playing PGA 2k23 BECAUSE of The Brew Crew. So....cheers!

Finishing up the RUMble for the week.
The game was easy in round 3. It was the opposite in round 4, with three crazy dropped shots and the return of my awful short game. That said, not very long ago I would have struggled to post double digits under. So to feel disappointed to have not shot better means I'm improving, I think.

It's different for everyone. I loved it right off the bat, but I REALLY love it now. But yeah, it's an incredible game, however a massive time suck. Even just going through just the main quest, you are probably looking at 30 hours, but with the amount of faction quests, side quests, missions, and planet exploration, it will easily tick over the 100 hour mark. I have been taking it super slow on purpose. At 50 hours, I should (could) be a lot further along, but I am just loving the slow, do whatever the hell I want, when I want, approach.

I digging it a lot. But I'm a sucker for open world rpg, exploring, crafting etc. I'm playing via cloud since my pc won't handle it but am very tempted to try. The cloud is not bad though but am really itching to have at it with a latest generation cpu and 4090 card. Would love to talk about my experiences in the game more but out of respect for those here for golf will leave it alone. Except one thing that I got into today, playing diplomat between a planet and this Earth colony ship. I kept getting lost in the colony ship, couldn't find the airlock, carrying a sh%$ load of stuff I got them to pay to the planet people so they can settle there. Can't fast travel, finally get to my ship which was one I commandeered from some pirates. Opened fire on the colony ship and nothing. So I just went on my way. It's my ever growing list of missions Iève (god damn language bar thing I have clicked somehow and now itès giving me weird characters, cant remember how to get rid of it)abandoned
Oh I once knew a Sara Morgan. Hot blonde too. Had a thing for her but life decided to interject itself and nothing came of it. Now is my chance all over again. lol Anywho, that the extent of my Starfield talk here so as not to annoy people. Guess there is a thread in the gaming forum we can bounce to if we all decide to leave the game and post on a forum

Guess there is a thread in the gaming forum we can bounce to if we all decide to leave the game and post on a forum Yeah, we need a Brew Crew Starfield forum. Or a Starfield channel in the Discord. Haha. But yes, open world RPG is my jam, and I am a Sci-Fi nerd and obsessed with space, so it's literally my dream game. As long as you know what the game is before going into it, it's hard to be disappointed in it. It's a 9.5/10 for me. Diplomat is a good choice! I chose Explorer (role playing as an intergalactic travel photographer....so it fit my IRL personality) but I haven't really gotten many Explorer specific dialog lines or quests, so thinking there is better backgrounds out there. Ok that's it. Back to golf!

3 hours left and nothing from Scott Blade or David portred. Might be our first walkover scores in the RUMble opener in some time. Onward.
