There is a clique, many of them in fact. I would dare to say every single society in this section of this forum is a clique of sorts. The Brew Crew is a clique. The designers have a clique. It's just the nature of forums and especially this one where separate society's of people with the same interest exists. That doesn't bother me one damn bit. It's how a clique behaves that concerns me more. Invading threads and taking shots at the members of the thread/society, running live streams and taking yet more shots at them is poor form. Childish and immature. You don't see anyone from the Brew Crew invading designer threads, taking shots at them, insulting them. We stay here, keep to ourselves and here is the most important part. TREAT EVERYONE WITH COURTESY AND RESPECT. Is it too much to ask that in return. The behavior I've seen the last several days by some of these other people disgusts me. To those who feel the need to invade the thread and look for a fight, take it elsewhere. If someone has said something about your course that rubs you the wrong way, send them a message. This thread is for MEMBERS OF THE BREW CREW to talk about OUR society, our golf rounds and have some friendly banter. Amen Tim.

Pub crawl R1 & 2
R1 : -9 R2 : -10
Happy with these rounds so far, and with the course we are playing this week
Edit : Just realized I lost my R2 in rumble to Paul M ( Harveydog500) by one shot. I knew I would regret missing on the birdie on this final par 5

Art VandelayWell after a week vacation, I dusted off the Xbox and thought I’d get my first round in. Not too bad Hopefully this is a real bounce back from last weeks rushed rounds prior to leaving for vacay.

Okay. I really haven't wanted to get involved in this "debate" as most of you know where I stand on the subject of CC courses.
I think a major point is being missed here. It's really not the quality of the courses that has been the subject of complaint, if complaint is even the right description. Personally, I think the design and planting etc of the courses is excellent. But that's entirely missing the point.
What is the point, then? The point is that we play what looks like exactly the same course over and over again. That is absolutely NOT the designers' fault; they are producing good-quality courses. I don't think anyone here has actually ever singled out a course or a designer for criticism.
Speaking for myself -- and, no doubt, for many here -- I would like to see a variety of courses. Why not more resort courses or alpine-style courses? It just feels tedious playing what looks like exactly the same course week after week after week. I really can't believe that there isn't a big library of alternative-style courses that would be deemed tour-worthy. Of course, what hoops a designer needs to jump through in order for a course to be deemed tour-worthy is a subject for discussion in another place.
Also, this is our society right here. Even if I'm a mile off with my thoughts, we should still be able to air our opinions without getting snide remarks from people who are, for the most part, misinterpreting our opinions.
TLDR: No one is blaming the designers, but perhaps the schedulers need to have a hard think about introducing more course variety into the schedule.

I totally agree with your post 100 percent. I have tried to stay out of this because I have the greatest respect for Ben b101 . His post and subsequent post was done with class as it should be for a moderator and also very informative and polite. He explained his situation as a Mod of this forum and we can only respect that. As he said he has no control on what others come here to say. Variety has been the problem. I have no qualms with designers, I respect each and every one of them who takes the time to design. Some will be to my liking (regardless of my score) others not so much. I hope in the future designers and those who ranger courses will consider a bit of variety and try not to put similar looking courses back to back. I really hope we can move on from this bad taste amongst our community and just get on with golfing and bantering back n forth, but also not be crucified by some the community because we express our opinions, It's very childish to do so, and reflects on what type of person you really are. My apologies if I have offended anyone. Thanks Chris Bear for your post eloquent as always.

I don't like like buttons lol But I would be smacking the like button more than once right here. Maybe even set up a script to hit it 7000 times in the day.

PUB CRAWL Rounds 1 Cannot see the screenshot CF, here or in NFL. BUT, and there is always a but, I do see you on CC-B with a nice -10 opener. Onward! Art, was having problems with Imgur, kept rejecting my screen shot, but, yes Round 1 was -10, and Round 2 was -14.

Exactly this Carol. It’s always a shock when I test out a Plat/Elite/Kinetic course and see a wide variety of looks, light, weather, layout, etc and then I go to the CC society and immediately think “didn’t we play this course last week? And the week before? And the week before that?” Off the top of my head I can only think of THREE courses in CC this year that I felt looked and played a little different. Three. Out of almost 40 courses so far. This could be a contributing factor into CC flights only seeing 80-90 players per week as opposed to the 140 at the beginning of the season. Hard to stay engaged when it get boring and redundant. The problem is, it seems like everyone in charge of course selection/scheduling is playing it too safe. To be tour worthy, the course has to fit X,Y,Z exactly, with no room for personal judgement on making a phenomenal course a CC worthy course, because of a couple small things that missed X,Y,Z. Then the designers see this recipe and wind up making carbon copies of the templates in order get approved as tour worthy, and we find ourselves playing seemingly the same course week after week. It’s a vicious cycle. As I said before, many of the courses that we played in TBC sub societies were absolutely phenomenal. Almost NONE of those courses were labeled “tour worthy” on the TGC database. So as a lowly TGC CC player who doesn’t design courses, I’m left sitting here wondering how these great, fun, and FAIR tracks aren’t tour worthy, but all the carbon copies we see week after week on CC ARE tour worthy? TLDR; I think the powers that he might need to adjust their checklist on what constitutes “tour worthy” because, as it is now, it’s not working. On the CC tour anyway. *Edit* - I would like to add that I really do appreciate the effort the designers, rangers, and schedulers do. I don't have time to do any of the three, so I really appreciate those who carve out countless hours to create a fun experience for us all. But we wouldn't be doing anyone a favor by not mentioning the elephant in the room, that for many of us, the CC course selections are very very similar, and not very fun when you feel like you have played almost the same course a hundred times before. Hopefully this can be heard and the rangers and schedulers take it to heart and start to think outside the box just a little bit. Like, this week's course is a good start. Definitely feels fresh compared to past courses on the CC Tour.
