To the Paranoid Designers Society who seem to hang on our every word.
I have played 3 courses on TGCT this weekend. Drink water Ski Resort, Rivermead Hollow and The Chop Match Club.
I enjoyed them all.
It’s great that you really, really care what we think about your designs.
Hat’s off to this week’s designers. You did a superb job.
Happy?
I very much doubt it.

2570 pages crammed with posts it was. Almost three years of pixel golf worth.
Admittedly I have not read every single post since October 2020 but I've read most. I cannot remember anyone here getting personal ever. Sure, a few gripes here and there, we are all competitive human beings and griping comes with the territory. But nobody got personal. Ever.
And then we get a visit by a Moderator of the Global kind. Who also happens to be a designer. Admonishing us for what, griping on occasion? Come on, really? We represent but maybe 40 of the 1000 who play week in and week out. Hardly a blip on the radar. Why would anyone even concern themselves about what we think? Why would anyone outside of this small group even bother to read this topic? To the point of posting here. Either way, I think I and maybe most were happy to have a quiet smh and move on.
But then we suddenly got visited by two more designers. Out of the blue. And both of them decided to get personal. And that is not cool.
The cynical side of me would say it suggests the clique is real, no? And if no clique exists, then all it could be then is a serious case of brown nosing. Big Chief designer opens the door, wannabees follow blindly, see me, i'm here too! *waves*. See, I too can trade insults with the best of them.
Question is, how do we go forward from here. What has been said has been said. Should we move on? Or have a 24-hour open session where anyone can have go and say what they want - clear their chests and then we call a truce? 48 hours to accommodate guys who are slow typers?
I do fear though that trading insults will in the end cause more harm than good.
In the meantime i'll be playing under the North Korean flag for the rest of the season. Yemen is a tad too bland for my taste.

There is a clique, many of them in fact. I would dare to say every single society in this section of this forum is a clique of sorts. The Brew Crew is a clique. The designers have a clique.
It's just the nature of forums and especially this one where separate society's of people with the same interest exists.
That doesn't bother me one damn bit. It's how a clique behaves that concerns me more. Invading threads and taking shots at the members of the thread/society, running live streams and taking yet more shots at them is poor form. Childish and immature. You don't see anyone from the Brew Crew invading designer threads, taking shots at them, insulting them. We stay here, keep to ourselves and here is the most important part. TREAT EVERYONE WITH COURTESY AND RESPECT. Is it too much to ask that in return. The behavior I've seen the last several days by some of these other people disgusts me.
To those who feel the need to invade the thread and look for a fight, take it elsewhere. If someone has said something about your course that rubs you the wrong way, send them a message. This thread is for MEMBERS OF THE BREW CREW to talk about OUR society, our golf rounds and have some friendly banter.

Art Vandelay asyoudo64 R2 -8 I decided that I couldn't risk the team result while experimenting with the Sloth and its Russian roulette swing so I reverted to my standard XBox controller. I'm more accustomed to its Fasts and predictable follow through. The Wolverine training can wait until I take a break. Just to add some more spice to the thread, I did not like the course, mainly because of the stupid physics where Very Firm and Firm is behaving like Soft and balls are stopping on red fairway slopes instead of rolling to a flatter spot.

This thread is for MEMBERS OF THE BREW CREW to talk about OUR society, our golf rounds and have some friendly banter. A few things here: 1) I posted originally to explain Tour Worthy vs Approved because I've been notified multiple times (as a mod) about people grumbling about CC course selection in here. I ignored the first few then tried to explain the process to you. I was very clear not to tell you not to moan; you are welcome to. 2) I did not invite anyone else into this thread, but as you say, it's public, so that's natural. Of those designers who have commented since, you'll note that two of them are designers that designed the courses you have played. That, again, is natural. 3) I have had separate PM threads with two designers from this group. Both asked me to play their courses for feedback. I have shared those streams with them privately. Both times, feedback was as it should be: constructive and candid. If the designer dislikes it, as ever, that is fine. But I was very clear both times that I am not there to trash the course and I did not insult it. I did point out the reasons why that course is not Tour Worthy, as requested. You are welcome to look up the stream in question. I won't comment again in here and I won't read or reply to any posts following this one. Frankly, I wish I had never tried to explain it, but it's kind of a compulsion as a teacher. Yes, there are cliques or groups. But on a public forum, you can't be surprised when other people post in reply to what you have written. Have fun, fellas. P.S. Before the conspiracy theories continue, I'm not here to spy on you, but I keep getting notifications for the thread that I haven't yet figured out how to turn off.

Another night of insanely slow servers. At least I learned my lesson from last time and tried not to get frustrated and let it ruin my round. Happy with the first two rounds. Hope I can keep it going over the weekend and stamp my ticket to CC-B arthurvandelay Nice Mike. You've back mate 👍🏼.
