There’s nothing particularly wrong with the official courses but they have been played to death. They must have thousands of plays on them and we see them every year on TV. That’s why a lot of us are bored with them. I’ve got 18 courses ported over to 23 all approved I say take a chance on one of them instead of playing HB official courses. I have two desert courses still to bring over but no real incentive to bring them over as they will get very few plays in this version. Ok but I mean if you are going to play ranked anything and it seems to be all the rage right now, you are forced into Official Courses. I like the feel of realism that an official course gives me. Even if the course isn't mapped out correctly or has all sorts of advertisements blocking everything, I still enjoy an official course. Not that I don't like user created ones, because I do but some of those fictional/fantasy courses downright piss me the F off I don’t create fantasy courses I create fictional ones that I could see my self playing in real life try English Rose Golf Club or Dunnet Head Golf Links. Or even Biscayne Shores CC which is based on a course in Miami. Sorry guys and gal for blowing my own trumpet in here I could have just sent him a PM but I hate the thought of my course being called Fantasy.

Most of those courses were official or real life recreations so I guess that just stuck with me. And I remember playing all the different PGA versions of Video Game Golf and they didn't even have a "course designer". I would say most of us played Links back in the day I’m old enough to remember Leaderboard on the C64 as probably most of the Brew Crew membership can remember as well. Most of us have been round the houses with these courses more than once.

I am guessing that there is a big difference between what you created and what I am talking about when I say Fantasy Course. I'm talking about courses with Miniature Golf Fun Land Greens and 125 feet changes in elevation per hole. Not that I won't play them, but I sure do get to saying the F word a lot when I do When I used to golf in real life, I always enjoyed walking the course and carrying my clubs so I imagine myself walking those courses and I don't think it would be possible lul.

A good fantasy course in my opinion is Zelda: The Lost Woods. The layout is not to wacky but the surrounds are spectacular

Hopefully bringing Rockliffe over soon which was my only tournament approved course but they wouldn’t play it because of one pin position on hole 9 which I didn’t think was a problem. I will move it for 23 and see what happens.

When I create a courses I do a virtual walk of the course in the designer to see if I could walk it before publish each course has to make sense to me. I see people publish courses that are 18 individual holes spread across the plot. Nothing wrong with that but for me each course routing has to make sense.

inflames47 DESIGNER'S SHOWCASE
Round One (-8) Round Two (-14) Round Three (-10) I played round one before I went to sleep and couldn't keep focus. A nice fresh start, for round number two, coupled with a birdie train from hole 2 to hole 11, gave me the lead on PC. Shot 9 under on the front but a par train on the back brought me back down to Earth. I had a 2-shot lead over Ben going into the third round. By hole 13 it looked like I would keep that lead. A disastrous, fast swing would put me in an unplayable lie on 16 and I would have to tee it up again. And I missed the tricky bogey putt to give me a nice double, lul. That extra stroke, for double, turned out to be the deciding factor. I birdied the next hole and hit a really nice driver off the deck to make Eagle on 18. 32 under is still pretty damn good for me. Good Game Ben, Good Game.

OFTR Playing better on PC so dipped my toe in the water. Pleased with the result, but as my old maths teacher used to say, could do better.. Great to see the upturn in PC fortune coinciding with an upturn in the Potters fortunes. Thanks Ben. Alex has finally got them going.

One for the road @ Tempo BluesGawd, hit 2 good shots all round long, the tee at 2 and the putt at 12. Double checked 3 times to see if my daughter did not exchange controllers on me. Maybe i should open it up and see if the insides are the same still? Art Vandelay
