This game is in such a sad state atm with the crashes, stuttering, disconnects etc.
I find it hilarious that HB Studios/2K biggest rival in 8 years is about to release their game and this is the state of this game.
Are HB trying to lose their player base?

Yesterday was the worst day for me with about 40 some odd freezes and crashes but today has been much better. I had two crashes early on in the day but after that it's been pretty smooth sailing. Maybe the congestion cleared up or maybe it was on my end with my poor internet connection. It is what it is. I just try to deal with it as best I can. Plenty of other problems in the world to remind me of how minor this one is.

Ben I don’t see the skills or fittings as that much of an advantage, I’ve no argument that they don’t improve your game a bit. I played on my PC last night I’ve got 5 skills set and two fittings applied the rest are all bog standard. Played 5 matches online last night and won 4 of them. Im not saying they don’t help to some extent but I see the fittings and skills being HB’s way of levelling the playing field a little. Like you I was playing on an unfamiliar platform when you play Xbox. This game certainly doesn’t have some sort of meta with regards to fittings and archetypes. The good thing with archetypes is it balances things out and you just customize your bag the way you want as you figure out the strengths and weaknesses of what you like in your bag. I just live and die with the powerhouse archetype and try to balance things out. On some courses my approach shots are a lot of wedges and I’m finally dialing in with them. My longer irons are unpredictable at times but I’ll live with it. Streamers have said to load up your putting skills to the max. Who really knows. I am certainly not one to get advice from as my game is currently in shambles, lol. But I do like the game overall better now than in the beginning as I understand more of it. I don’t load my putter up it’s the easiest part of the game for me. I load up my irons and wedges as they are the scoring clubs. Nothing worse than hitting a great long drive leaving a wedge then missing the green or leaving a 40 foot putt.

one thing they wont lose despite the problems is player base, may lose a few but majority will stay
the 1 weapon this game has is the designer just a shame they didnt give them more tools to work with

Art VandelayTBC Season 2 Week 6 Fools in Gold Cup R3 -2 Cannot understand it, whatever the idots at HB/2K have done just doesn't make sense to me. Before update I got the occasional out of the blue big fast and unexpected slow, since the up date the slow has increased 5 fold and the big fasts are turning up twice as often, but not on every course I play. If I had more hair I would be pulling it out in frustration.

Keeping it Real at Crystal Downs SkyBlueBen Lovely course with rather tricky greens. A nice change from the run of the mill CC courses. 👌

Played the Beaz Knees last night and overall tempo was ok over 4 rounds, more slow than fast which for me I'd class as normal. Then went to local play to do some rookie playthroughs and it was fast over and over. Unless I proper lost control of the stick for a shanking slow, I couldn't get away from fast. Nearly 6 months since release and I feel like we are still in the early beta stages of this game.

SkyBlueBen REAL ALE
I've only played this course 5 or 6 times, but I got a real love hate relationship with it. I love that it's a real-life course and lidar but I kind of hate playing 2k23 golf on it. I question the real-life translation of some of those pins and slopes on the greens. Anyways, I holed out for Eagle on 13 with a missed tempo. I can't remember if the ball hit the green, fringe or rough. I think it was on the edge of the left side of the green. The ball died and barley started to roll down the hill towards the green. It started to pick up full steam like some old-world locomotive. And BANG... it smacked into the pin and went down in the hole! I had it on fast-forward, so it seemed more dramatic than what it probably was. Anyways, probably not the best score but I'm ok with 8 under par on this course. I've had some over par rounds here, that I try to forget but the nightmares won't let me. Oh, and driving the green on 15 and getting another Eagle wasn't bad either, just not as dramatic as the 135-yard hole out.

inflames47 DESIGNER'S SHOWCASE
I struggled with the first 5 holes on both rounds. I got my nerves under control but still made two bogeys in both rounds. I was able to negate them with the Power of the Eagle. Graffiti and Harvey Dog were behind me, and "Paints on Walls" was nipping at my heels. I was playing so slow that I had to let him play through. In the end, I managed a 21 under for the tournament, which currently leads PC. I doubt it holds but I'm not mad about my two-round average.

Wanted to post this now because I will likely have forgotten by the time I report on the last two rounds, but with the gaffe by the schedulers resulting in a single pin set for the entire week, I’m shocked… SHOCKED I tell you… that nobody (looking at you, Johnny evilgrin72 and Carol inflames47) has come up with calling the event… Four Rounds, One Pin I’ll show myself out.
