Pub Crawl @ Fools Gold OpenArt Vandelay I'm still not back under my old forum name yet, sigh. Only logging in to post incase my ticket comes up next and the old nice guy croccy ends up getting deleted by mistake  Golfing wise, had a pretty decent start, dropped a 27 footer for bird on the 1st, then a 32 footer for eagle on the second followed by i dunno, maybe an 8 footer for another eagle on the 3rd. And then kinda hit the par train for a while. Damn Wolverine putter been cold as ice since day one, waiting for the day that starts clicking too, hope it happens before the controller becomes another also played. Rest of the rounds - chipped in once and made a few good putts here and there, but eventually another tourney where i'd swap all my 15+ footer putt drops for all my missed between 5-10 feet ones in a heartbeat. Was bogey free for all 72 holes though, which i'd take even if the course was a tad easy. Saw Uncle Ben just killing it round 1 on the lb, tried catching up but not in this lifetime. I’m sitting on -21 after 2. Solid first round followed by a shaky 2nd. Should have secured a promotion to CC-D last week and that’ll do for me so not sure whether to finish or not. Probably use it for CC warm up. Still got 3 and 4 to play in both. Welcome to CC-D Ben Very short-lived stay with us in CC Doomed Forever. Very short-lived stay with us in CC Doomed Forever. He is leading the flight with 17 under and most likely will get promoted from the promo event. Nice having you with us for the week Ben. Don't worry. It wasn't all milk and honey. Fitted in some of my more normal rounds also! |

A lot of golf to play this week, so I knocked out OFTR and the first 2 rounds of the Pub Crawl. OFTR was not great, but it was a fun course.
Art Vandelay - Enjoying your tournament thus far, thanks for putting it on! I was pretty happy with R1 of the Pub Crawl, but I did miss some makeable putts, which is always frustrating. No 3 putts though and 86% FIR and 89% GIR, so I'll take that. 25 feet from hole on average. I am hitting the green more, so time to start seeing if I can put it closer.
R2 had some bogeys which never helps the effort! If not for the bogeys (R1 was bogey free), I would have duplicated my -9, but alas I get the -6 I deserve. Thank goodness for the eagle at the end or I would have really been unhappy. I was happy with 79% FIR and 89% GIR, but I averaged 32 feet from the hole, confirming my approach shots still need work (at least I am on the green).

I'd have snapped yer hand off for this before I started but disappointed that I couldn't push on in the final round. Putts stop dropping, score suffers. Onward!!!    Should be enough to get you two promo marks in D Ben with a bit of luck 🤞 |
