Well, I knew I would have to notch a big ol' L in LOSER column at some point in RUMble....and it finally came today at the hands of jhandz92  Today was all about misses...missed putts, missed opportunities...missed meals...you name it, I missed it! I finally tied Jason at -5 on the 14th hole, only to give it right back with a terrible tee shot, terrible chip and a terrible putt on the par 3 15th. More misses would come in the name of missed birdies on the final three holes to just barely gather my first L of the RUMble by falling one stroke short. Fantastic round Jason! Look for my second loss to be accumulated tomorrow as I surely can not topple sid snott and his legendary -9 in round 3. I guess the silver lining is I am T16th in my flight, so I might be getting some promo marks if I can keep a decent swing going in round 3&4. Look at the look of dejection on this LOSER'S face ⬇️⬇️⬇️  |

Crumbling Week 2, Round 3 or Keeping It in the Family Today’s guest ghost was none other than the papa to my grandchildren, Jason H jhandz92.  Trying to stave off eventual regulation [sic] into Division 5 (aka Outcast Division).  Taking on fellow pill pusher, Dr. Bing mbuenger, whose new found obsession with the designer has translated into a considerable lapse in his golfing abilities. Started out hot with the long sticks, but on the greens I shaved more lips than an aesthetician at an over 80 beauty pageant.  Managed to get to -4 through 10, when Carnoustie’s little quirk of severely punishing wayward drives in all ways imaginable reared its ugly head on #11, where if you miss the fairway, par will be a very good score.  By the time I found the par-4 green, I was already lying 5 with a very long bogey putt. It didn’t end well.  Never really recovered, as I only managed a couple more birds down the stretch. It WAS, however, good enough to let me finish under par, and notch my first right-out victory in 7 Crumble match ups, Art VandelayRd 3: -3  Now to scramble my way out of revelation [sic].  |

Nice course, signficantly tougher than the on-going CC course this week. Shot a tripple bogey on the 3rd hole and spend all remaining holes of the front nine trying to recover from that, and then decent back nine

Rumble Rumble @ carnoustie cove
Rd 1 : -9 / Lost by 1 shot to Marc Crazy Croc . It was a tight match, i lost on the 18 where Marc got a birdie that I was unable to match Rd 2 : -8 / Won by 1 shot to David dave69 . Again a very tight match that this time I was lucky enough to win
On the plus side, bogey-free on both rounds, which is not happening enough (at least to my taste  )
To finish, sorry for this late score posting. I was planning to play my rounds yesterday evening, but I forgot my mouse pad in the office, and when I tried without it, all the shots I was hitting were medium to high slow. How little things can affect your play is quite amazing ...
Perhaps you need a Wolverine mouse pad   |

Art Vandelay As discussed yesterday re: round 4 I was sitting +3 and disgusted over my golf play, not only on CC rounds but DS and The Real Ale. Shut down game after losing some cash to the Banker. Back today started with DS. -11 for the final 2 rounds 1 shot off The Master of Spreadsheets (actually I was tie with him going to the 18th had a 1 inch putt and geez got a bit of lag and missed it SERIOUSLY WTH.. guess the Golf god preferred Blue Heavenly Skies to Flaming Hell.  Anyhow moved on to my rounds almost brought back to even par, except I over adjusted my driver and landed in water. Managed to minimize damage and came in with +1 for the 4th round. So wish I never played yesterday. Meant to take a screen shot of my DS only because I decided to ride it out with the Bear and actually beat his score. Now that is a miracle that does not often happen for me.
