The Brew Crew Real AleStage 1 of seeing if I can fit 3 rounds into my luch break (working from home after leaving the office early in a blizzard. It is now sunny ). Love an RCR and I see see BaconJunkie1 's courses are going to be a lot of fun. Putter rather cold for a tropical climate!

While we're doing nostalgia here's what took up a lot of my time in the mid-70's. Part of an unbeaten U15's team, including an England Schoolboy international, with a few trophies. Loved playing Rugby. But then I left school and found clubbing and girls to be more fun. I'm front row to the right of the Shield.

As a kid in the sixties I used to spend of my time over the woods making tracks to ride old push bikes with no brakes with all the other kids from the neighbourhood, there was always a tree stump in the middle of the track. Back in the days when it was safe Or playing football in the Road and getting out of the way of a car now and again . First console I actually owned in my 20's was a Atari 2600, the luxury one with the fake woodgrain. Got myself in trouble playing Pac Man when the mother in law came round and I was still playing a hour later. Wasn't letting her wrecking a best score. Wife was not best pleased. From that I went to a ps1 though to 4 . Floating around in the loft I still have them all. Have a laptop, but don't really know how it works. Puter illitterate.

Edit: I did find this me and my dad with our first golf trophy, I was always a fashionable kid 🤣

Brew Crew Ale SkyBlueBenTook me about 15 holes to get used to the slower greens. I do better on fast greens and slow ones I play to conservative and keep ending up WAY short. lol Goes by way too fast. Need more levels.

From the late 60's in the famous sky blue of Coventry City sporting FA Cup ears and a bowl cut!

always look at the green speed ... or green slow in this case - love leaving a 4ft putt short and then boxing a 40footer
and the club fittings ruined my distances again ... anyway got to be brilliant at excuses when playing golf ...

Edit: I did find this me and my dad with our first golf trophy, I was always a fashionable kid 🤣 Forget about RUMble...this week's competition should be about who had the shaggiest mop on their head in their teens. These are some fantastic, flowing manes gentlemen! The only one I can find of me on short notice is this one. I was born in '79, so this was taken sometime in the early 80s. Not nearly as impressive, but luckily, thanks to my grandfather's genes, I am happy to report my hair hasn't changed since. I can't remember if I had an Atari 2600 (I think I did) but I know my first real experience with gaming came with the original Nintendo 8-bit. But I was always more of an outdoor kid, raising a ruckus with my friends on my dirt bike until the sun went down. I do feel bad for these kids today...life was so much more simple without computers, video games and Netflix. Although, they are lucky they never have to pull off the James Bond-like exploits I had to in order to steal my mom's Sears catalog to get a glimpse of a bra. When we did finally make our way inside after dark, my brother and I would play Electric Football until my tiny Italian mother would yell at us in her heavy south Philadelphia accent to 'shut that damn noise up and go to bed!' If you didn't have the pleasure of playing electric football, you essentially plugged it in (which would briefly dim the lights...this thing was mega fire hazard), and the players would shake around the field, with no rhyme or reason to where they would go (kind of like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense.) It made no sense, but damn if it wasn't fun as hell and was louder than a jumbo jet taking off.

That looked a fun game we had to move subbuteo players with our finger nails by flicking them at the ball. 😂

CC Rounds 1 and 2.
Spent the whole afternoon warming up for these rounds but only really succeeded in dislocating my shoulder. I literally cannot push my mouse forward fast enough to not hit a slow.
Anyway, teed it up, saw the first hole and decided I wasn't going to bother. Anyone else peg it up on a CC course you've never played before but it feels like you've played it 5 million times already?
Well, that was the feeling for me. That, coupled with the tempo sh1tshow, meant there was only one way forward: speed golf, not giving one shiny sh1t where the ball went. I think I got these two rounds done in half an hour. Tempo was God-awful in both, and the less said about the putting the better. I literally phucking hate this game at the moment.
Scores on the doors:
And you guys think Palo is the grump. Hold my phucking beer.
