Week 5 – One for the Road
Week 5 of the season is the Modified Stableford format which takes us to The Old 38th Club, a fictional Highlands theme course with a par of 70 which was created by Chuck Gunsaullus.
Course Description:
Welcome to The Old 38th Club, a fictional course set in northern Minnesota/Wisconsin/Michigan. Enjoy scary tee shots over the cliffs and crazy putts on the greens. The course has only 3 par-5s, but 5 par-3s. Best with high winds (either North or South), default greens, and lots of patience.

Just surfaced after watching England get knocked out by the French.
Bit sad really.
I only managed to watch the second half - it was like 4.00am Sunday morning and I'd just put the telly on to see how the match was progressing.
Teams looked pretty evenly matched to my uneducated eye.
My only comment would be that maybe it wasn't a good idea to have Harry Kane take both penalties. Easy to say with hindsight I know but the French would have studied his penalty technique more than anyone else. He put away the first one with practised ease but the second would have had him maybe overthinking it a bit. Just my opinion fwiw.
Hope Morocco win the whole shebang!

Art Vandelay CC R1: +7 I just can't play slow fast perfect vslow vfast just can't find anything that works, please just someone put me out of my misery I mean they shoot Horse's don't they, I know I'm not a good player anymore but surely to god I'm better than this. P.S bloody great course, loved every minuet of playing it, pity I can't play thou. kudos to my man Terry Grayson

New Season Week in the Tennessee Alps Round 1 Hot off my mostly ignored 5th place finish in CC-J…  Moved right into this week with some excellent practice rounds with the fair Spenny jg24kl, and was crushing everything on site.  But alas, an early go meant no friendly ghosts to play along with.  Par, bogey, par before things got back on track. Then after the turn, took a five-car ride on the par train, then finished out in style. Not great, Art Vandelay, but not terrible by my usual standard. Then again, I am an unlikely player, right?  Rd 1: -7  Let’s see if I can hold onto my first promo marks in nearly a decade.  |

New Season Week in the Tennessee Alps Round 3 Ghosted speed golfer Spenny jg24kl, who apparently plays really well when not playing live with someone who can attest his scorecard (foot wedge, anyone? And did somebody here actually see him score all those eagles? All I know is when we played live rounds, he had more stray shots than in inner-city veterinary clinic).  He does clean up nicely in solo play, Art VandelayToo bad I can’t say the same for myself. Rd 3: -7  By the way, anyone who’s ever been to the Tennessee mountains can tell you those are NOT the Tennessee mountains.  |

Honestly the game was fairly even, I would even admit that England dominated the 2nd half. And grats on neutralizing Mbappe, Walker did a great job. Hope it won't inspire Morocco to do the same  . Once again the relief came from Griezmann and Giroud, thank to the brits for shaping him into the great player he is  . Another awsome match for Lloris, who really saved the team on a couple of hot situations. It's gonna be tough against Morocco, as they really have nothing to loose at this point. Ps : thanks god I am not at home atm, as my wife was pretty pissed this morning  |
