inflames47Hazelhead GC, Aberdeen ported to 23 and published. If it looks familiar it is Facsimile GC, Aberdeen but I’ve renamed it to its proper name. The course is a copy done from memory and google earth of a municipal course i last played way back in the 80’s brings back great memories for me. You can see the course routing below and Santa is in the trees somewhere near the 16th green. 😊 Edit: Green speeds 131

Another week done and another massive improvement seen in overall scores posted. Could almost go as far to use the word that we got so used to in 2k21. Bir.. Bir…Bird..  Now I can’t continue without mentioning tonight's antics. Would like to say the better team won but I'm biased. Fair play to the French, just wasn't meant to be for England. Oh Harry!  Eric’s Pabst welcomed the Whackers to the green this week. Both teams are in good form after posting wins last week so will be looking to close the gap on the league leaders. Nervy opening day for both with the honors shared, while on the 2nd day the Wackers struggled to get out of the blocks as the morning session started which ultimately cost them both results as the day drew to an end. Not deterred the Whackers whacked back. Clean sweep for them on Day 3 brought them straight back into the tie. Singles were blow for blow again Eric and Lucas won for the Pabst while Ken and Gordy took the wins for Whackers meant this ended with a respectable draw. Both deserved a win but neither deserved a loss so fair result. High Flying Raiders had a tricky tie this week as they prepared to go to war with the Dickens. A mix of results for the Casuals so far but they would be looking to bounce back after last week's crushing defeat. Whether Kosheetsnsta took last week's defeat personally or not is something to discuss post report but thankfully for the rest of his team he was on fire. Posting top score of the week and the only member of the 50+ club, he fired points onto the board on every occasion. They had the Raiders on the ropes throughout the week and you could tell the Raiders were starting to panic with a potential ‘L’ on the cards. They aren’t top of the league for no reason. With the exception of Ben (Sorry), a fine team display saw both Daniel and Alan posting in the high forties for the week, that just got them over the line for yet again another win for the Raiders. The Cupid Stunts are still looking for their first win of the season and are looking to capitalize on the losing streak that their hosts Jager Bombers are on. An even 1st day saw both captains losing their opening rounds only to be propped back up by the remaining team members. Role reverse on the 2nd saw the Captains taking the win, leaving the tie in the balance. Close knot affairs on the 3rd as the pressure started to mount for both teams but it was the Bombers who came up trumps taking full points to leave them in a healthy postion going into the final day. The Cupid Stunts knew they had to bring something else to the table on the final day to get that elusive win on the board but it was not meant to be. In the end a decisive win. Bombers prevented the losing streak to continue while the Cupid Stunts will have to go back to the drawing board before next week begins. Middle of the table clash between the Bourbon Bandits and As You Brew. Both teams have shown that they are capable this season but have also shown a little meh! In a cat and mouse affair both teams trickled in the points in the opening match ups, leaving this wide open. Les was denied full points this week by a thrilling contest on the first which sadly ended in a draw but it was our friend from down under Mr Nixon, who was able to rally his team together to put in a sublime performance in the singles to take the win. The Martoonies and The Crown Royals both came into this week on the back of excellent wins, both still trawling towards the bottom of the table but can be assured that they will both put on a show for the traveling fans. Another cagey match up which saw both canceling each other out. All square day 1, all square day 2. You guessed it, all square day 3. This tie was going down to matchplay. With Randy, Carol and Paul doing the damage for the Martoonies, they were able to walk away with this week's points. I don't know about rallying the team Sean. Being the only player not to win the singles, I think the team rallied for me. Great battle Bandits and a great effort team.
Your Captain will try to improve for next week.

Sean prowse00 In my present mood I should take offence to the derogatory remarks made about my lack of contribution to The Raiders efforts over the season so far. But they are so very true so on this occasion I'll keep my gob shut!! Harry? He's got to work the keeper. Reminded me of another painful WC memory. I give you Chris Waddle!! To top it all my Sky Blues battered Reading and still managed to lose. And it snowed! Sh1t Saturday all round! I'm hopeful of an improvement in my pixel golf after Carol inflames47 showed me how to select the CORRECT controller in Steam and also gave me some lessons in rhythm. Let's face it, I can't get any worse. And finally I shall be the latest player to give up on HB/2K's RCTS (Random Crap Tempo Sunday) and play my CC rounds in the week. See if that helps. Onward as Golden Balls would say, and I don't mean Beckham who we could have done with for that last ditch free kick. Bloody football. I have no idea why I love a game that fills me with so much misery so often!! |
