inflames47TBC Designer Showcase @ Pat's Flour Factory... still no bread for me. I think on most courses I have been playing I may as well start my round on hole 10 and just play the back 9, really struggling to get anything on the front 9, no real bad shots just green postioning and first putts not being good enough to get the birdies.

Killed more VC today Been struggling with iron tempo. So I experimented and reset my skills and didn't put any points in my 7'th column irons perk. I have 100 timing and 95 transition on my irons through fittings. It's weird but it feels better. It's almost like there is too much timing/tempo with the 7'th column activated. Tempo seems closer to my driver which is in a sweet spot. I can count on my outcome with my driver. If I can get my irons to be that reliable I may make a cut some day. I may try this with my woods next as I never know what is going to happen on my woods on fairway shots.

Made 2 attempts at exchanging 3 reds for a wedge red transition shaft. Both times said I was successful, both times shafted me π with a timing red. Don't want that as it takes too much off power. Probably stupid doing it twice, but I thought I may have made a mistake, but no. I grinded for days getting those reds and in one foul swoop, they're f$#%ing gone for something I don't want in seconds. Thanks heaps HB π€π€π‘π‘ There's been confusion about this and if you think the way the game works is dumb, well... you're not alone. When you trade 3 orange for a specific slot/attribute, you don't guarantee that it'll be the highest. You guarantee that you'll get at least 8(?) of that. I have no idea if they're equally distributed or if it's weighted in some direction. With the rng roulette in play, it's possible to get 9-12 of another random stat that is not the one that you requested. It just labels the fitting based on the highest one. The system still gave you +8 or whatever of the stat you wanted, it just happened to give you more of another one too. Remember that the stats can go down to -4 or whatever, so even if you get +8, that's still pretty good even if you wanted 10 or higher.

It seems from what i was watching on carpys stream through the chat feature theres an exploit in the game
so example: play TGCT with 3rd party data OFF if they dont like what they scored by keeping an eye on site then they will keep 3rd party data turned off till cut day at a guess & it wont submit score
thus stopping them get demo marks if they score well they turn data on to submit score wonder if doyley & co are aware of this or if there is even anything they can do to stop it .

Designer Showcaseinflames47After yesterday I was totally fed up with this game. Career mode (to test if patch fixed stutter) was a total stutter fest and unenjoyable. Will no longer play that mode) Local play rounds, could not get a grip of the splash shot and had me totally frustrated *yeah I was a chipper, so what lol* Then my designer showcase round I got HB'ed and no drop and couldn't finish the round. I quit yesterday totally fed up with the game.
Today spent an hour in the practice range thing working on splash shots. I have a grasp of it now. It's just executing it. Still feel that they need to tweak it, it feels just so un natural of a swing to me.
Reset skills, removed all points from 7'th column irons and they feel way better and am liking it. Actually can start to rely on them
And an added bonus. Since the patch you now get a pop up of a fitting when finishing a society round. No need to back out and go check fittings to see if you got one or not. Huge quality of life change there.

Days off from work and life has been crazy, as my car of 11 years decided it was over and out late last week, so Iβve been working hard to negotiate the purchase of a new one, which is difficult since the pandemic, as inventories are scant. Bottom line: Round 2 (and more!) will be played with plenty of time to spare today Art Vandelay @imafraidoffailure

I've had what Ross describes happen to me on 2/3 occasions and thought it was a bug. I think I may have had it give me the wrong club or part of the club to fit it to - in which case it's definitely a bug.
But your theory is interesting Gordon.
Attributes on fittings are paired as follows:
Power/Timing Swing Path/Transition Lie Range/Shaping
In a Legendary Orange the fitting will increase each pair by +8
So if you get a +12 power then timing would decrease by -4. Or if you get a +8 power then timing would remain unchanged etc.
Will be interesting for Ross to check what the transition stat is on the timing fitting that he was given.

I've been following this one a bit Darren. Looks well run. Shame he doesn't do an Xbox version.

Oh nice, KieI haven't done a ton of look at my fittings since I got them set before Q School, but it was after that point when I first heard of how things are paired. Didn't really have any clarification on what it meant til now. I don't have any blue or green at the moment, but I assume that the stat pairs are +8, +7, +5, +4, +2 going down the tiers of fitting rarity. This is really good to know though and easy to miss. I'm probably a week or so away from looking at a potential major re-fitting, so I can plan more effectively if I am doing many trades for specific pieces.

inflames47Fleur de Lys: +2 Was playing ok on the front, just hanging around at a couple under, not really doing a lot. Then I stepped away for a couple minutes and it's like a switch went off. Swing was wayward, I was putting like they were 150s, etc. Surprised I wasn't closer to 80 now that I think of it.

What a terrible start. OOB after landing in amongst the farmers cabbages on my second shot 1st hole. Other bogeys were generally birdy putts that just kept going past hole slowly then gathering pace. Pulled it back to 7 points ( I think). Art Vandelay

I've been following this one a bit Darren. Looks well run. Shame he doesn't do an Xbox version. Possibly something he could think about but with him just starting and numbers quite good then I feel it maybe too early for cross platform. But I speak with him regularly so could ask.

Art VandelayRound 2.... man, someday, I'll get the hang of this. Started off -2 through 6 holes and beginning to think something had finally clicked. Then, on the 7th, I hit the green in regulation and had a 16 foot birdie putt. Missed it - it sailed 12 feet past the hole somehow. Missed the comebacker for par. Then, the bogey putt from 7 feet slung around the lip and caught a hill and left me with a 9 footer for double. Left it short. Tapped in for the elusive 5-putt triple bogey. On the 9th, another VF chip that went 6 inches and died led to another bogey and that -2 was suddenly a +2. Back 9, I steeled myself and rallied to sink 3 birds in 4 holes to get back under par. With dreams of a first-ever subpar round, I promptly had another disaster on 15 when a VF flop left me in the same bunker and led to a double, followed by a bogey on the next. Right back to +2. Had a chance to get to level par on 18, but barely missed a 19 foot eagle putt. The tap-in birdie left me at : R2 : +1 The quest to break par continues.....
