No more playing with 160 greens and default ball I am here to enjoy the game not frustrate myself. After looking at some of the Designer Showcase courses not many greens under 160 I need to start looking for another society. Don’t worry…Doyley said he will keep the CC greenspeeds at a reasonable level and will never have the 187s for tourneys. I think the 160 with default equates to near 187. |

Edison Lighthouse has 164 speed greens but they’re only a problem if you get above the hole so I take it no one will be playing it 😜

Edison Lighthouse has 164 speed greens but they’re only a problem if you get above the hole so I take it no one will be playing it 😜 Very simple solution to playing any course which has a default green speed which is higher than you would like and that is to select 'Fast' green speed instead of Default which will play at 155. I’ve played it a few times and I’ve made sure I have the one square around the holes that are not orange. I don’t find 164’s that much of a problem but go any faster and then they become a problem. They are set at 164 but soft and that changes them slightly if I had set the greens to firm i think that would have made them play a lot different. |

Cant see why as always used default other that 4 cc events and 1 Pandora second round as first round was a joke at 177. But 164 doesn't ring a bell. |

Is the designers meta put the pins in the back of the green to stop low scores? Don't forgot designing for us. We love a Les course. |

Ross and I have done all our rangering with default ball. I think most times we at the fastest selected "fast" which is 155. I never had an issue when we did 155's. But not sure how many we chose to use the fast option on, can't remember.
I'll let Ross chime in here as he may remember more and I'm about to go offline.
Edited to add, whenever I selected fast, I always countered it with "moderate" or soft firmness. Can't say I remember us doing firm and fast as a combo.
