Problem is my LW pitch goes 70 yards, best I can bring back is to 40.. so why give us all the fittings that increase length of club and then f*uck us over..I do not agree with taking out the chip in the sand, I am far and few between but it is a golf shot that can be used in real life. Default balls I have no issue with all on same playing field is fine. I didn’t pitch I splashed and I can’t tell you the last time I chipped out of a bunker, but the last time I might have done it there would have been no lip on the bunker. You wouldn’t chip out of a bunker at St Andrews you would need to splash. Karacakes does a good YouTube video if your interested. Yup, watched Kara last night with the different techniques out of the bunker. And actually the splash shot has been patched a little as it is much easier to hit than what it was when the game was released. The key now is backspin with these default balls. |

I actually like all of the changes with regards to consumable balls and no chipping out of the bunker. But you know some serious gamer who loves to wreck video games will find a different club to use and perfect it and then we all follow suite just like we did with the chipping in the very first week of the game. I personally would have left the chipping out of the bunkers alone and just focused on the consumable balls for society play. If they would just make the default balls a little better than what their current numbers show.
At least 2K/HB did these changes now instead of waiting for like 5 months when they patched the red fast and ruined the game and people left in droves because of that. And then they had to go to Pro swing only to fix the master swing a week after the new season started.
I think after a few weeks people will get the splash down. And it really is easier now than it was on release week. They did patch it up a little, still punishing but fair now.

Art Vandelay CC R3: -7 Oh wow, bogey free? Despite that, there was a huge portion of this round where I felt stuck in second gear. I'd hit a good drive, then have a simple shot that I'd either completely chunk or miss by enough that I was going to have 20+ feet breaking hard. Probably 1-2 putts that I was fooled by the slower green speed, but those things happen. All things considered, I'll take it. Probably should have been a couple shots better, but too many low confidence swings. Just wish I had a round like this on the board for the first and/or second round. Totally random, but I'm laughing at how after the update, the Wind Speed is in ALL CAPS when you go to settings now. Of all the weird things to break, how do you do that one, HB?

I think the update wiped out most of my fittings or could've happened one of those times it crashed yesterday. Paul, just make sure you're looking at YOUR golfer - not the various guests. Very easy to do! It was definitely me. I noticed while playing DS last night that I was all over the place. I checked my clubs this morning two-thirds of my bag-including my putter-=had no fittings at all. Though I'm so up and down in my ability at the moment that I'm not sure when it occurred. lol. |

Ironic after 3 of the 4 rounds I played today I received free golf ball sleeves not that they get used but still no refund deal for them. Also I played 3rd round of Plat tour and on the 1st I hit my approach shot to within 10 feet, however with 186 green speed my slight tap of a putt missed the hole by a few inches and then a couple of feet passed the hole picked up speed like a souped up car and finished 40 yards away in a dell on the fairway. If they put 180 green speeds on tour I am think I will be sick that week and need time off   |
