First Pint in the 2K23 Arms - Round 2Art VandelayThis round promised a lot but ended up delivering very little. Good front 9, shambles of a back 9. Only played around 6 Master level rounds so far and enjoying the challenge. First impressions for me personally is driving and long irons too easy when compared with short game being a little too tough. As for The Brew Crew we haven't pre-determined anything. I'm hopeful we can all get up to speed with Master, probably see a bit of patching from HB/2K along the way. But we will see where the journey takes us.

inflames47 Aole La'au Pama R1 --Both birdies on back nine were from 50+ ft away. lol Game wouldn't let me ghost anybody even though Patrick and Ben had already played. So had to go it alone. Good stuff Doe Doe Coba !

I'm with you on that for the most part. I've been here a long time and can't imagine a time where I'm not here. I'll plug on surely but others may not. I do feel they need to keep the membership high to keep up the costs of running this place. I do remember when 21 came out it was tough for everyone, myself included and I remember a lot of people complaining. I was one of them. I'm in the "will play whatever TGCTours throws at us camp. Always have. In away its a case of "careful what you wish for" As I had become totally burnt out on the birdie fests and wanted tougher courses and conditions." Well dammit. I got what I wished for. And then some. I'm level 34 now so hoping I can get my fully active perks all filled in. I've got the driver, woods and irons level 7. Not sure if I'll level my wedges or putter or put my final points into things to improve my timing on splashes and sh%$ /off to go smash my way around the Kinetic or CC event now. I wasn’t aware the tours had even setup a society yet Yup, just type in TGC and they all pop up all together. I joined all to see how many societies you can join. Unfortunately it is like the last game and only allows 10 at one time. |

Anyone free to join this, no restrictions etc? We run a League which restricts us to a certain number of players but even if there is not enough space to start with you are welcome to sit on the subs bench and join in. We also have a knockout and showcase society which everyone who wants to be involved can compete. Always regular places coming up as real life gets in the way of existing players. Target set after 2 rounds on Brew Crew +24 6 attempts to get out of a bunker on one hole . This is souls destroying on Masters for me at the min. Can’t drive , irons , short irons or putt 😞 Need your individual round scores David, or just the screen shot of the 4 round recap will do. EDIT: Disregard, saw your card. Thanks! |

Wow! I just had a major putter meltdown on Hole 6 at Riviera. I went to the limit and John felt sorry for me. Well, there goes that round.

Well that was interesting to say the least..........
Not complaining or whingeing - just reporting exactly how I feel atm
Played the Brew Crew Master round first and found it incredibly frustrating and difficult. That short game is incredibly punishing and the greens on that course were anything but flat. Finished +19 from memory (mainly due to exceeding shot limit on a par 5 where I had no control over the short chip and it kept rolling down into the bunker - rinse and repeat several times! Enjoyment factor 0
Played the CC tourney 1st round immediately after on Pro and it was chalk and cheese. Course was a bit easier I feel but finished -8. Enjoyment factor 9 out of 10.
I know it's early days but I'm leaning massively towards Pro at this stage.
In terms of assists I'm currently on lvl 39 and have maxed out all my Passive skills to lvl 3 except for Hybrids which I don't carry anyway. Imo these skill points don't mean a hell of a lot and it's very debatable how much they give you. Club fittings are similar - how much help are they actually? Very hard to judge.
Some things never change - Loveskud is leading the PS4 leaderboard for the same Pro Exhibition event on -20. I tell a lie - something has changed - his avatar is uglier than before, which is saying something!

If anybody has that black line issue and darkness….I’m not sure if this was already covered here yet but this is what I found and a huge difference…
From hmammoth:
The black line appeared after the patch, they also added a couple more settings under graphics, you can turn on or off hdr, and change hdr brightness if the screen seems dark, it was darker for me this morning, easily fixed by turning up hdr brightness.

Yep, short game my nemesis also. Probably true for most of us. Whoever knows what HB will change though. Long game seems fine to me. Rhythm is a Dancer. My current preference also. Woodsman sounds like an extra on a porn set. I hear you on Woodsman, Ben. I’m holding out for the Fluffer archetype.  |

I started off with my first master eagle of the new game on Hole 1 and then got to Hole 6 and had a huge putter meltdown and took the limit.. If you take that crummy hole out of the equation I was thrilled to get a +1 for the other 17 holes. I’m getting some strange slows on some of my wedges and anything in the rough….. I don’t know if that is a fitting issue or not. But going to grind some more on career to get some levels knocked off, rivals played and some more fittings….I’m on Level 21 now and VC declining with fittings.lol.

HELP REQ'D FROM BREWCREWERSJust started the TGCT test event for CC on PS and I'm getting no distance advice whatsoever - like playing TST! Is there something I need to do? Like playing in the dark - getting too old for this sh!t! As in 2K21, go to settings: Display and HUD : Distance Info Position : In HUD With this, you’ll see distance/elevation info in the HUD, just the the Tours have been doing since last season.
