Just checking in at the halfway point. 25 skill points spent - 25 to go. 64 fittings earned - 36 to go. Been enjoying the gameplay so far - Doing ok with Pro. Gonna move up to Master when all my attributes are in place. Splash shot is dead R.I.P. Gradually getting a feel for the full and partial chip. My one question is - What is the point of replays in career mode when you don't see a replay of the actual shot? All you see is your Golfer hitting the shot - Pointless! Not sure how TGCT will deal with the 'ball' issue. Nightmare for them trying to ensure as much of a level playing field as they can. Wouldn't wanna be Doyley for quids! You are crushing the grind! I still have no clue on what and how those skill points work. I have 14 points remaining but I do not know what that means. I’ve been focusing on the fittings and my woodsman(155 green speed)archetype which I originally started on as GDog recommended it on his stream. Overall I love the game. I don’t care about golf balls right now, default works. I'll probably collect all my points and use them on the permanent ones at the end on the areas that are my weakest, in other words all of them by the sounds of it. Yes I know that you can only have two . Only about 11 hours to go before I join the chaos. |

Randy, you have to spend 4 points in the first column in order to open up the next and so on. As Paul says, I would imagine most people will want to max out Column 7 at a cost of 18 points but you need to spend a minimum of 24 points along the way (min 4 per column) before you can access column 7.
Pete, don't get too excited about 'completing' the fittings grind at 100! As I understand it there are around 500 different fittings so when you get to 100 you will want to start condensing your lower value fittings down into higher value ones by exchanging or upgrading. You can only hold 100 fittings at once but over time I assume the aim is to be holding 100 of the higher value / most helpful ones.
Replays are also useless on Xbox. The splash is very high risk out of bunkers now which is why lots of people are using the chip shot instead which works much better. Good old 2K/HB!

My one question is - What is the point of replays in career mode when you don't see a replay of the actual shot? All you see is your Golfer hitting the shot - Pointless! You have to toggle the camera angle during the replay to see your shot. It is silly that the game defaults to player face camera in replay mode.  |

Putting seems ok to me Les. Not sure about the short partial chips though - can't seem to execute one without fasting or very fasting it, but hopefully I'll get better.

I think the putting is terrible why they messed with it is beyond me it was pretty good in 21. Anything under 6 foot the ball pings of the putter face like a table tennis ball. Watch the putter head when you first pull back it comes outside the line. |

I was all over the place with chips and putts and finally have it down pretty good. Now the short chips with are still a little shaky as I overcook them at times and if the green is downhill the breaks( max backspin)won’t stop it. But the partial chips for me are much easier with this game compared to the old game. And putting was a struggle but have a better sense now. But if you are slightly off say bye bye to your ball and the possibility of another chip as my ball will go to the otherside of the green. |

I have to disagree with you there I think the putting is pants, the chips I can live with. I’ve been using partial pitches for a long time on the old game so using partial chips is second nature although I would hardly call it a chip it’s more of a short pitch with the height it gets. |

Did you receive a reply? I got one last night. Comical response...was almost like they were replying to a different email. Anyway was provided with a discord where apparently we can have meaningful conversations and provide feedback to developers. Well I posted in there before bed (nice enough message), woke up this morning to find I had been removed from said discord group. What a joke removing you from the Discord, Disgraceful! I got an e-mail back from them, they basically want me to prove that i own the game/correct version etc. So I provided 5 screenshot, but I know what they are going to say and that being becase i bought from a 3rd party (Green Man Gaming) that it's somehow their problem I bet. I can play the game fine, the problem is I just don't have anything that I was supposed to get with the TW edition. On a side note it only took them 40 odd hours to reply, what a total joke. Well, turns out I was given the discord link prematurely. It is not yet open for the public so have been removed again. At least this time there was was some dialogue. Still not willing to discuss my concerns but the 10 2K staff in the discord have seen my rant. |
