restarted Steam & PC, still no joy, as matter of fact the avatar that I had created has been total reset including the caddie I chose. I'm about to let some people know just how happy I am

Sucks that it didn't work for you katana22. I hate seeing people get shafted by bugs like this on day one of a game.

The coin issue I see people talking about around here. I seem to remember this happened when 21 released. Or is old guy memory failing me. I have a foggy memory of this before and that HB sorted it out in a day or two.

HB/2K are going to have a busy day of ignoring their customers.

Once my laundry is done and I get my dryer loaded it will be time to try out this new golf game thing.

Your right the VC issue did happen in 2k21 as I was one of the people that it happened to, so you can imagen how lucky I feel right now.

The grind is well and truly on.

Currently at level 12, halfway to level 13.

So exactly 25% achieved of the quest to acquire those 50 skill points.

Some observations along the way.

Splash extremely difficult to get right and I'm finding the chip shot the better option for getting out of the sand.

Putting when on the fringe is a must for me

I am no longer a pinseeker - middle of the green is so much safer with the short game very difficult.

Mike katana22 I didn't get my VC immediately - but it was there when I fired up the PS this morning.

re coin issue

So I am in my character creator thing. Select tops. I saw one I liked but no vc. I hit preview on it and it gave me the option to buy I held the button down and when it saw I didn't have any vc steam micro transaction thing opens up. I back out.

My coins are now there.

Mine appeared after I close the steam micro transaction window, backed up a spot in the menu and looked up and there they were.

Already blew 300 just to get rid of the god awful gold driver. btw..all dlc is showing. All good for me so far.

Edit to add. When it saw I didnt have the vc to purchase a window pops up with the in game list of available vc packs to buy. I clicked one and that's when the steam window opened up. Then I closed out.

So what Settings are you guys playing on pray tell.. this game is ugly. The Characters look like something from a damn comic book. My azz is fatter than it already was in previous game and now We have cave looking ladies if you want to call them that, because they certainly do not resemble women to me. Seriously who the hell designed these Golf Images a 2 year old?

Played three rounds this morning on master with swing meters off. Could not get away from slows but hoping a calibration tonight should help. 

I was impressed with how the courses and environment looks but will get into it deeper tonight.

One quick observation when playing. If you were a splash shot addict then you better go to the range and practice the chipping. My first round was on masters difficulty as I wanted to get used to it right out of the gate. My drives and approaches were not too bad but the chips were god awful. I’m going to have to learn the partial chips better or I’ll be stuck in CC-L I won’t even mention my 1st round score in career mode….ok, I’ll tell, 82

On master I had a ton of slows.
, I’d say 70% slows with my swings. I have not calibrated yet.

I will say putting seems easier for me. It took 5 holes and I started to get comfortable with it. I just need to get rid of that damn ugly gold putter.

The flop shot seems like a winner here, hit it perfectly with my attempts and stops on the dime.

It just takes getting used to in the beginning as it makes you read each little thing before I can go to the next page. I keep on hitting buttons but the page would not move then I started to read and it finally allowed me to move on. I almost tossed my controller out the window.


Thank god we will have to time to bet used to this new game. There is not doubt I’ll like as the game play is good. I wish I can have more clothes to choose besides what was offered, unless I missed the page with loads of clothes to choose from. I don’t understand why you can’t put weight on your golfer. Did some skinny nerd design that section? 

I started with the woodsman archetype. I’m using the default balls for now…..my driver hits at 282 with no fittings as of yet. I think I have a reward from my 1st round. Well, this is going to be a struggle a while but the process will be interesting.

My screen popped with the courses in the 21 game. In this game it doesn’t pop. Do I need to adjust a particular setting to make it look better? I’m on a PS5.

No coins and any of the other goodies that you are meant to get from purchasing TW edition.

I've play 3 rounds in my career and I'm already at nearly 1000 coins, level 5 and earning lots of xp. One round was approx 950xp.

I also had the game crash once (totally froze) and lost connection once as well.

I did notice that your caddie looks like your avatar that you setup (twin brother maybe ).

The short game is really tough especially chipping and putting. I decided not to calibrate my swing yet. I wanted to see what the default swing tempo etc was like.

inflames47 Carol, my graphic settings are nearly the same as I had setup on 2K21. There's a new option called SSGI which I have turned on, this wasn't in 2K21.

These settings are giving me a steady 60fps but I still need to adjust some settings in the Nvidia control panel for the game which should increase the fps.

Playing on pro with same as 21's settings.

I had to turn off AA and lower my object detail a bit as I was getting frame drops in mid flight. Not affecting swing but I can't take the stutters. Wasn't too bad really but enough to make me want to adjust it. The course I was on maybe affected it too. Going to try another course. Also need to check my nvidea control panel. Sure I can tweak it there.

Not going to be negative only to say. One or two things.

I like having the commentary on. John must have been fired. Same lines. Hope they at least fixed some of the obvious buggy stuff. Like hitting the green and he is "oh too bad" or whatever it was. I know this isn't gameplay stuff but I like having it on. For 180 bucks its a copy and paste from the last version. That is bad.

Gameplay, is ok. No red fasts. Getting slowed to death at the moment. Sure I'll adjust.

I'm sure I'll adjust and grow to like it but right now sure seems like a lot of money for a copy and paste game with a new UI. I do very much like the attributes and grind to have to open them up. Gives me something to grind for. Again not trying to be negative but 1'st impressions are what they are.

inflames47 You may want to make your character taller to see if that streches her ass out a bit.
