Oh man.... I sure hope it's not as bad as all that. Actually, the most recent tracks show landfall further south, around Ft. Myers, if that happens, it won't be anywhere NEAR as bad in Tampa, so you may be OK after all. I'm pulling for you, buddy.....
Yes, we got lucky. The track has it going near to Venice, Port Charlotte. It still a big storm and probably widespread power outages from the wind. We are still expecting winds gust of 70-80 for most of Wed and parts of Thur. I just don’t want to lose power. We did buy a generator to at least keep fridge, deep freezer, a fan and an AC wall unit going in one room. The last time we had anything this close and as strong was 5 years ago and we lost power for 10 days and no WiFi for 13 days. As for no WiFi, I have a question. I have enough plugs with generator for main essentials. I’ll have a plug for my TV and PS5 as well. But if I lose my WiFi can I use my phone for a hot spot to play my PS5? Or is that not strong enough? 10 days with no power and WiFi is a bummer. The last time this happened all I did was take cold showers during the middle of night because the house was so hot and humid and you couldn’t sleep comfortably. I actually wanted to go to work just to get cool. Florida is horrible in Sept with no AC and a fan. It is manageable but it sucks and puts you and your significant other in bad moods. I don’t want to turn into that grumpy old man Carl from the movie UP. I’ve heard of people tethering they’re console to a mobile for access but never tried it myself because I have limited data

I damn near lost my mind when Charley came through in 2004 and we were without power for 5 days. I finally snapped and just bailed out, threw out everything in my fridge and drove SE until I found towns with power restored and just stayed there until it came back on.

It just occurred to me that a while back due to flaky internet I hotspotted off my cell to play golf. PC though so not sure how it is with PS's
Worked fine, and if I remember right even better than my wifi account because my net connection was having issues
About a year ago this happened so my memory is not great cause I'm old and sh%$ but yeah should work.
/pardon my lack of quotes and tags, I am just kind of bursting in and out of here real quick and saw the conversation about hotpspotting

I've got a PC issue at the moment. For the past few weeks, my fans have been running pretty hard while playing the game. As of today, even with turning the game settings way down, the game is crashing every two or three holes. I can hear the sound effects in the background, and I can hear keyboard input, but the screen freezes and I have to ctr-alt-delete to force stop the game.
I'll have another go in the next few days, but it might be I'll either have to get someone in to check my PC out or buy a new one
Just thought I'd give you guys a heads-up in terms of the matchplay and the final rumble.

Rumble on the west coast : it's always nice to have a round of wolf at Cobble beach...
The last round was exhausting with high winds and slick greens. I had to wait the last two holes to be satisfied.

Designers showcase : Wednesday @ Hochgarten
Sehr schön, aber ziemlich schwierig... For the first time I play there, I was fooled twice by the stoned slopes.
This course plays tougher than it looks and I had to issue a nice fightback on the 4 last holes.

Designers showcase : Thursday @ Lulu Lagoon. I know everyone is probably tired of me waxing lyrical about the great courses our own Crew produce, but as the old catchphrase from the PGA TOUR used to go, "These guys are good". Brilliant stuff Michael. Does anyone know his forum tag?
