The Bloody Mary CupJeff Wildridge vs The Dark Side Charles Lindbergh
This was a complete surprise to Jeff taking down Charlie in a very tight match up. Jeff played some extremely great golf against Charlie who was battling the Man Flu. I tried my best to comfort him and get him in shape for his rounds and he did the best he could
But in the end Jeff out golfed him plain and simple
Congrats to Jeff beating Charlie 2up /1 to play
The Blue Hawaiian Cup Martin Law vs CFGib, two giants in the world of pixel golf, were matched up against each other in the Final rounds.
And these guys take their golf so seriously when their putting, that I was actually seeing more balls on the green than I cared for.
It was a great matchup between these two but there can only be one victor and Congrats to Martin Law winning 2up/1 to play
The Apple Martini CupRoss Nixon vs Kie Farrell
These were 2 very well matched players and deserved to make it to the finale. Once again we had a close match down to the wire
Ross Nixon wins 2 up/1 to play. Grabbing his phone, he went immediately to social media to claim his victory.
Let's move on to some notable notes:S8 proved to be a challenge for our Commander and Chief Ben Tough
We had some players come and go during the season. We were always playing Where is Waldo only to be re-named Where the F'k is Fick.
Palo had to drop out mid-season due to computer issues. I guess when you screw with Carol's cat, things can happen.
Anyone that had to face off with him in singles could only say they were sorry to hear he would not be back for the remainder of the season.
It proved to be quite a challenge for Ben who was low on Substitutes and had to bring in someone who would eventually Sub 3x for 3 different teams..
Enter Arthur Vandelay
We applaud you for your dedication!!
Enter Mark Murray and Sean Prowse, the 2 newest members to TBC, we look forward to seeing you on the course in S8
Speaking of Arthur Vandelay, Ben has decided to step back a bit for S9 and is currently training Arthur to take over the spreadsheets for him. He is hereby known as Tag Vandelay
I am not sure being completely away from those spreadsheets is good for Ben's health, he is showing signs of withdrawal
TBC golfers were wondering if Sid Snott has a crush on David Stevenson since he has elected him to be on his team Season 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8. Pretty sure David is wondering himself..
Guess we will all know Sid's intentions when the S9 draft rolls out.
The UnimaginableThere was an unprecedented amount of Blobster's this season
12 players in total got at least one blob, total blobs for the season 26.
Les Sangster feared the worst, thinking he would be top Blobster but Inflames out did him by 1 extra blob
So here's to you Inflames..

Ah yes, the results we have all been waiting for. I won't go through the full team recaps of W9 because as you know the only match that was going to make or break the Season was between Les Golfloggers and Rum Raiders. But before we get there, let's give ourselves a bit of applause for each other , for your captains, your teammates, your scorekeepers and yourself. It has been a great season and we could not have done it without all of you. Each and everyone that posted comments, scorecards, shared moments of their golfing experience good or bad makes up what we call The Brew Crew. The Admin Team truly appreciates your dedication to us, and we hope you stay with us for many seasons. We welcome the newcomers, and we have had to have say our sad goodbye's to some , but they are always welcome back here.
Ok we all waited for this result, it was a nail biting type season with these 2 teams.
At the last minute there was a hiccup in Ashtons Dream team and potentially a game changer
Dan Blanton was unable to play for his team in the last week and Avakrac had to come to the rescue at the last minute as we had run out of available subs.
He is always an asset to anyone's team and I am sure the Raiders were happy to have him there.
Les Golfloggers certainly came to win this one, throwing out the first punch in double matches.
While warming up for singles, Les Golfloggers could hear The Rum Raiders discussing their loss in doubles and those Golfloggers
Turns out the only one that really showed up for the game was Avakrac getting most points for The Rum Bums.
Only one other team member, David Herron, was able to grab 2 pts in the 4th round.
This my friends is over The Les Golfloggers never looked back and crushed the Rum Raiders in their worst round of the Season ..
Shocked and dismayed the Raiders were left wondering
As a team you guys played fantastic golf all season and should be proud of that.
1st Place Team Les Golfloggers win Season 8 Congrats to Captain Ken Wise and his teammates for a fantastic season !
2nd Place Team The Bourbon Bandits
3rd Place Rum Raiders Team, having lost their 2nd place and also a chance to win overall in the very last week, were nowhere to be seen
Last place Team Dregs from the Kegs Captain can only be thinking
in the season draft.
But hey, you are all winners in my book!
Until next Season Folks!
