Bova's attempt at R4, well at least it was bogey free.
Oh For The Right (shot). A normal OFTR round for me, the wonderous HB/2K shot results will never fail to amaze the player or better known as scramblers paradise.

The Hurricane came close to my City but no direct hit but the winds were still strong enough to knockout my power. We had 85mph gusts around my area as well. Currently I have no power or wifi just using phone know to post. I hope by Wed we have power and wifi restored so i don’t foresee needing a sub just yet. I’ll keep the updates until i get power and wifi.

Hopefully you're safe by now, my friend. Yourself and family come first.
I shot a great round in warm-up, so decided to forego any more practice and, for the first time, dive straight in after just one round.
Started terribly. The front nine was not good, but I was still hopeful since I was actually finding the tempo to my liking. I woke up on the back nine, and I had no tempo issues until the last. My teeshot was graced with an enormous slow. This put me over 180 yards away from the green, in the cabbage, with no view of the green whatsoever. My screen was completely brown-green. All I could see in front of my face was bush, and not in a good way.
I pulled the 4 iron, lofted it up and hoped for the best. The ball came out like a rocket and settled about 16 feet from the pin. "This always looked like a birdie," I thought. Only it wasn't a birdie, because the ball didn't break a jot despite lines indicating it should. While I should have been happy that I made no worse than par, the air turned a malevolent shade of blue.
if only i didnt have a bad start for 1st 4 holes lipped the 1st totally crapped the bed on the 2nd & took me another 2 holes to find my rythm after that
i knew dave69 had my bacon cooked so relaxed & just tried to make a game of it

Week 3 - A Rose Amidst The Thorns (not the English kind for this player...) oh and some beachy links tooArt VandelayWutpa
Well it wasn't much to write home about but if there is one thing I seemed to learn: gimme very high winds and something clicks to remind me that hey, I might still be somewhat decent at this. Really weird to hear encouragement from John in the comms when going at the final holes of OFTR to push for top of the leaderboard, like WTF am I hearing after seemingly doing nothing for who knows how long?!
Also for whatever reason, took R3 card after the round but forgot the better scorecard right after... whoops. If needed I can ghost it right quick but I think this should work though...
PC player. Never at the top of the mountain, hoping to stay away from the bottom of it too. Always down for a good time.

I make it a win for you on countback, eagle on last made it all square. Good finish and good luck.
I was -9 through the first nine holes in round 3, and everything was going swimmingly. Then I hit a driver off the 10th tee that carried approximately 30 yards and finished where elephants go to die. I made par, but the tempo gods had spoken. Almost every birdie I made after that was after a poor drive and approach that was rescued by my putter. I never thought I'd ever say that.
Round 4 was more of the same, but this time the putter didn't save me as much as the previous round. It's used up its quota for the season this afternoon, so it promptly flipped me the bird and went to bed.
Today, for the first time in a very long time, I was swinging to fight a snap hook, which I had at least double figures' worth of. If I'd swung yesterday with the downswing tempo I used today, I would have hit 3 o'clock slows on every single shot, yet I still was hitting fasts and snap hooks like they were going out of fashion. I actually had the kind of tempo I wanted today, but I guess I just couldn't trust it enough. I don't even know if that makes sense.
All that said, given that yesterday I tried the powerhouse loadout for the first time ever and a different way of pushing my mouse because I couldn't see any way of playing the game anymore, I'll take it.
sroel908: And as someone who's rangered/scheduled hundreds of courses, trying out a wide range of conditions, I can say with certainty that green speeds do have an impact and definitely matter.

sroel908: Green firmness is more about how the ball interacts with the putting surface when you hit an approach into it. A soft green is more receptive, and will allow more backspin than a firm one. A firm green will have less bite and more rollout.

meunier33: I have seen 135 greens that putt like they are 170. Therefore, we can conclude that green speed does not matter.

meunier33: Why isn't there a green firmness meter on the score bug? Green firmness matters much more than green speed.

meunier33: I still play this game like it was the game before 2K21. Up until this month I have never tried to change anything about how I play the game. It has made me worse trying to adapt also.

OldManGaming606: The biggest swing adjustment and best for competitive golf IMO, was 2k21 and addition of tempo.

Art Vandelay: each time the game has been issued (TGC, TGC2, TGC19, etc) the game play changes. Some more than others. You have to adapt. Or go away, like some have.

Wutpa: I think a lot of people here have figured out what your problem is, and it's not what you think it is.
Nov 12, 2024 15:23:34 GMT -5
meunier33: EG the best swing used to be hard and low and not a high swing like it is now.
Nov 12, 2024 14:51:27 GMT -5
meunier33: Im finally figuring out what my problem is though. I play the game like it used to work 4 or 6 years ago and I have trouble adjusting to how it now plays
Nov 12, 2024 14:49:57 GMT -5
zooby97: Is that all meunier33 does is COMPLAIN? Will you please ditch the game so I don’t have to see the complaints anymore, wow!
